"Everything about this property was top notch...The staff was amazing, the room was spotless and the most lush bedding I have ever encountered. The morning coffee and breakfast was not your average hotel breakfast, it was delicious. We loved this place and intend to stay here on our next trip to St. Simons Island."

"Staff was nowhere to be found during breakfast. When another guest went looking to ask for the coffee to be replenished they found her sleeping in the back. The breakfast was ok, typical self serve. The overall condition of the hotel is rundown. Walls through the building have holes or cracks. The shower was a bit scary and no lighting. Bathtub had black marks imprinted. The keys sometimes work some times do not work when trying to enter your room so he patient. When asked for extra pillows the staff claimed they did not have any extra key the hotel was not even at half capacity. "

"I have stayed at the village Inn a few times and always enjoyed my stay. The rooms are clean, location is excellent and the staff is friendly. We enjoy the live music at the pub. Unfortunately, this was a quick trip and we didn’t have the time to use the pool."

"They were going through renovations so i understand some dust etc. When we got in the room we noticed blood spots on the chair and just covered with a towel. Don't walk on floors without shoes. We went to dinner. We had been driving all day and wanted to stay by the lighthouse. We got back from dinner around 10pm, exhausted. We had 2 queen beds, my cousin and myself. I pulled back my sheets and there were blood stain spots all over my sheets and hair. So I slept with my cousin in her bed, we were too tired. Decided to turn on the TV. Did not work. Would i stay again...after the blood stains on sheets...most likely not"

"Ocean Lodge Resort is in a good location and very close to the beach. A parking garage is available and nice. The restaurant and bar is only open in the evening on Wednesday through Saturday. The floors in our unit were dirty so we wore shoes during our stay. The patio was nice but the unit was dark. This didn’t feel like a resort."
