The property was beautiful and very well kept. The interior was immaculate. Staff was extremely help and friendly.
Our room was smaller than we would prefer, but well furnished and clean.
I definitely enjoyed where the hotel was located walkable to everything I wanted to see ! I definitely enjoyed my room it felt like I was visiting a family members home. The food was delicious and I definitely enjoyed the creativity of the drink menu ! My Jack and coke was delicious !
Very clean, well appointed rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had dinner and drinks in the restaurant and it was very convenient and the food was great.
The General Lewis Inn is so beautiful and located conveniently near the center of Lewisburg. The bedroom was very comfortable. The bar was nice, but there's no food during the middle of the week.
The Inn is always clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Love the charm of a non-chain hotel. The front and back porches are wonderful places to sit and relax. I also enjoy walking to the downtown shops and restaurants from the Inn.
Love the historical ambiance and proximity to downtown Lewisburg. The staff was very helpful with their recommendations for restaurants and site seeing. The bed was too hard for our liking, but overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
The staff was outstanding. Very friendly and helpful. The facility was very clean. The only issue I had was the breakfast was not good. It consisted of a small muffin with no taste to it. It should not be called a breakfast. Very disappointed.
Friendly staff. We were given a room better suited to a single person but managed to change (for a fee). Enjoyed dinner in the restaurant.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Staff was very friendly, and welcoming. Property is historical. Had an excellent dinner. Jay behind the bar is a true mixologist. The signsture cocktails on the list are all his creation. The bar itself is small but comfy with a fireplace.
Nice Historical property should replace the mattress in our room with a pillow top type unit. Included continental breakfast offering was very limited a few mini muffins and some mandarins with coffee and tea......could do better there.
This charming historic hotel provided my husband and I a wonderful visit to Lewisburg WV. The hotel staff were very accommodating and our room was so pretty and clean. The bedding was so luxurious. We enjoyed the short walk to the shops and restaurants. I took advantage of the yoga studio that was .3 miles away. We will be back
I’ve visited the General Lewis on several occasions for their swoon worthy weekend brunch service, but this was my first time staying on property. I have to say, the accommodations did not disappoint.
This historical inn exudes charm and blends old world attributes with modern conveniences seamlessly. History buffs will enjoy the many antique artifacts featured throughout the hotel that serve as both decor and a peek at the past. Contemporaries will enjoy the on-site bar and lounge where unique libations, and many of their ingredients, are developed in-house.
This charming place just gets better and better. Their dining room is excellent, staff attentive and ambience just what I need after six hours on the road. Cheers to all!
Room and bathroom quite nice and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful.
I wouldn’t I say breakfast is offered, as there were limited muffins and fruit.
Bar and bartender made the trip as we were there midweek which limited our options for food, drink and downtown shopping.
Beautiful area, we’ll be back.
What a beautiful place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The staff were all extremely nice and helpful. We ate dinner in their restaurant and the food was great. We had the trout and crab cakes. The place was extremely clean and well maintained. Loved our room. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely being staying again.
Love the charm of this property. The staff is always kind and very helpful. The guests are wonderful and you just might make a new acquaintance. I will definitely return.
If you are looking for the charm of staying at an Inn plan a getaway to the Historic Lewisburg Inn. The rooms are super clean. Staff very friendly and accommodating. It’s nice to enjoy a different pace of life and the community around you.
