This is our 6th visit with our dog and as always the staff were very friendly and accomodating. The hotel is well situated just off the motorway and easily accessible. The rooms are always clean and tidy if slightly basic.

Very clean room and facilities. Excellent restaurant and bar facilities. Menu del dia excellent and good value. Large free car park. A minor downside was that the room was unheated, and the area’s night-time temperature was low.
Very nice hotel handy for the motorway. Good bar service with reasonable prices. Room fairly well appointed and very clean.
Seems to be a stopping place for tourists coaches and the vast majority of the few hundred (yes there were around a couple of hundred passed through!) were rather ignorant and rude. Dinner in the restaurant was adequate and well priced but nothing to rave about. Walk into the town if you want quality food. Would stop over here again as it’s fairly handy for Santander.
Nice hotel just on the outskirts of town. Great restaurant with very reasonable prices. Waiter was very friendly and helpful.
Plenty of parking available.
Ideally located of the main auto route and a stopover for Bilbao ferry port.
Very clean premises and friendly staff.
The kitchen / bar provided us with a nice evening meal.
We would use this venue again
Hotel Alisa is a no frills hotel which is perfect for an overnight stop. I had a meal and breakfast in the bar which was absolutely perfect and very reasonably priced. All the staff from the reception to the bar staff are welcoming and friendly
Nice 5 min walk to centre of old town. We didn't intend to eat at the hotel but the menu and price was so good we ate at hotel, very good meal. There was the option to pay €7 for secure parking but the open air car park seemed safe enough. We will stay here again
Friendly hotel with good restaurant and bar, both serving food. Comfortable spacious, and immaculately clean bedroom, same standard of cleanliness throughout. Conveniently located just off the A1 Burgos to Madrid motorway, but only a short walk or drive from the attractive centre of historic Lerma.
Easy to find just off the motorway and large free car park.Very friendly receptionist, large bathroom with an actual bath ! Incredibly good value breakfast.Sadly no mini bar or coffee making facilities in the room
Good location for travelling to/from Santander ferry, dog friendly too.Reasonable menu del dia, one very hard pillow on the bed is very un comfortable, really need a softer one aswell. No spare in wardrobe . Did not have a good sleep after our long drive.
Take your own teabags, theirs are awful.

Rooms are large and comfortable. Quirky use of antiques makes it an interesting place to see. There is a lack of electrical sockets in the bedroom, none by the bedside tables. No tea and coffee facilities in the room .
We have stayed at the Alisa several times previously and I am afraid it is declining over the last few visits. The only friendly person was our superb waiter at our evening meal. The rest of the staff were just uninterested. The rooms need a complete refurb. Duvets are needed instead of the very thick blanket and the even heavier throw. Bathrooms also need an overhaul.
Now to the worse aspect, the food. We hoped for an improvement and booked half board but the evening meal was abismal from an un chewable veal chop to, the choice of most of us, 2 fried eggs and chips. While it was edible it is not an expected meal for a restaurant. As I mentioned previously the waiter was a star it was a shame he could not serve us better food.
Lastly. We have just received a communication from the hotel which might say we have been overcharged of wine. Then again, it might be we were undercharged. Who knows.
