"LOVED the location and property amenities! Lake access and lake amenities were perfect! Just know that front desk is often not there and you will probably have to call when you arrive to contact someone who will check you in. Though concerning when we first arrived after a long day of travel, they returned my call quickly and someone helped us to our room. Lovely little place!"
"St. Wolfgang is one of the most charming villages in all of Austria. The hotel was fun and in the traditional style of most old Austrian hotels. The hotel sits off the lake but their “Lakeside Beach Cafe” is a short walk and is absolutely perfect. We would have loved to water ski with their boat but the weather did not cooperate. The accommodations are not perfect but a delightful stay, we wished we had made more time."
"Historic hotel was an excellent choice for a 3 night holiday. Loved the outdoor swimming pool which was very warmby the lake. Also very nice to test out the lake swimming pool next to it to get an idea of actual temperature.
Breakfast was superb especially the made to order omelettes, fried eggs, real honeycomb and different assortment of breads including especially delicious cheese rolls. Waiters and waitresses were very attentive.
A daily Rossl Post kept you informed of events in the coming 24 hours.
We took the Schafberg cog railway up to the top of the mountains which was expensive but well worth it. Book ahead if you know it will be a sunny and clear day as it was incredible. Make sure you take good shoes with grip and go right to the top.
The room of hotel was incredible and the view out on to the lake was breathtaking.
Staff on reception were very attentive to your needs and when we turned up at hotel we were greeted with glass of prosecco. A nice touch!
If the bank balance can take it, I shall definitely be heading back!"
"We had a very enjoyable stay overall. The hotel entrance creates an excellent first impression with a welcoming atmosphere and stylish decor that immediately sets a high standard. The dining experience was outstanding, and the breakfast was particularly impressive, offering a great selection of high-quality food and attentive service.
The only aspect that fell slightly short of expectations was the room itself. While it was clean, comfortable, and perfectly functional, it lacked the character, style, and attention to detail that were so evident in the hotel’s downstairs areas. Compared with the beautiful entrance and dining spaces, the room felt quite basic and somewhat uninspiring. With a little more investment in the room décor and furnishings, the overall experience would have been exceptional.
Despite this minor drawback, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return for the excellent food, breakfast, and welcoming atmosphere."
"The hotel is basically brand new, just over a year old. Very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed two nights but could have used at least one more. Beautiful town and countryside."
"There are no queen or king beds. Only double which they push together to make larger beds. They provided a topper after we asked for our 2 singles to make a larger bed. This is a large well established hotel/restaurant/spa located very close to Mondsee lake. Great location for visiting several lakes and quaint lake villages in the area. Lots to do from here including 30 min drive to Salzburg. Lots of history here but building is well maintained and rooms are comfortable. Spa is very nice. Restaurants are good especially the breakfast buffet. Also highly recommend the Riesnerhof restaurant nearby. We would stay again. "
