"Following our intense 5 day hike in the mountains My wife and I had a 1 night stay at The Knysna Belle to rest and allow our bodies to breathe and recover. Michelle was super helpful knowledgeable and wonderful and she took great care of our comfort indeed. The place is beautiful set in a tranquil environment with Knysna heads visible and Mesmerising. "The stay was disappointing for a 4-star hotel and felt overpriced for the value and service you get. The sharp mildew smell from the kitchenette basin table top in the bedroom amd the closet behind the shower was unbearable. It seems the aircon also leaks onto the wood. The front door handle was loose as if broken before, which made us uneasy with the intense website warning of potential trespassers. Security at the entrance gate was very friendly, but didn't once scan/record a driver's/car...

"Really impressed with the spacious rooms, wonderful service, great facilities, excellent food and lovely indoor and outdoor pool and spa. Rooms are a little dated but still comfortable and elegant. Hotel definitely has improved since a previous stay and look forward to returning."
