"My husband and I stayed there when we traveled for a concert. From the outside it may look sketchy due to remodeling, but the room was clean and modern. I loved that there wasn’t carpet. The floor was new and nice. It was just a basic room, but I felt safe and it was quiet. Check in/out was fast and the guy was really friendly. Definitely would stay again."

"Free parking, very comfortable bed, nice shower products, and very helpful staff! Cute property that is well maintained in a good location. I think it’s worth pointing out that there are no elevators, and no staff on site during the early morning and evening hours. Additionally, if you are someone who travels with medications or anything that needs refrigeration, they do not have fridges in the rooms yet, only communal fridges on each floor. The manager said they’re working on it, and in the meantime, she was super helpful and brought me an ice bucket. Would recommend!"

"It is so sad to see how this Embassy location has gone ‘down hill’ since I lived there in Homewood Alabama. This is the place I had my Rehearsal Dinner many years ago and now won’t stay there again. The floors (every one of them) were filthy, literally and every glass door, window and glass bannister/wall were dirty/filthy. The water/pond that the dish were in was low and the fish could hardly turn around. The staff did the best they could (pleasant) but could tell very low staff (same people there each day) totally multitasking at desk then having to go upstairs to make beds for customers…. The pot smoking group on premises (across from front door/lot) was so strong. Could smell from inside my car w/windows up then smelled from inside the filmy/glass elevators. The front desk person was very helpful (the be multitasking…) when our room was very warm and asked the maintenance man to go switch the old system to A/C from Heat. And the young man and ‘fist-bump’ parking guys were welcoming and pleasant. I was excited to show my daughter memories of where I lived there but this Embassy Suites was Not up to others. You may want to address and remedy this so others’ experience will be better. Especially in such a charming Homewood area of Birmingham Alabama."

"I stayed here for on campus activities, the bed is incredibly uncomfortable and the pillows are insanely flat. I’ve never stayed in a more uncomfortable hotel. The carpet in the room also needs a thorough deep clean. The AC also may need maintenance, the air caused me insane amounts of congestion and sinus pain. The front desk ladies were kind and helpful."

"Staff was great but my bathroom wasn't the cleanest. There was a brown handprint (makeup or tanner) on the shower wall. A used dried wash cloth was hung up on the curtain rod and the hairdryer and wall right next to it was sticky with a yellow residue. I didn't complain, I just clean the shower walls with clorax wipes and threw the washcloth on the floor so it could be found when we left. The bedroom itself was clean and staff was nice."

"The check-in process was not the best. As I arrived after check-in time, there were no rooms available, per the front desk associate. I was told I would receive a call when the next room was available I never got a call. I had to head to an event nearby within a certain time frame. After waiting for an hour I went back up to the desk to ask if there were any updates on available rooms. Only then was I told there was a room available. I believe if I had never gone to ask about the room I would've still been waiting. I booked this hotel due to it being in the same proximity to the event."

"Perfect room if you just need to stop and get some rest. Hot water was a bonus! Not much for breakfast. Staff were as friendly. Surrounding area was sketchy."
