Eklo Hotels Nantes City center - Île de Nantes

"I think it’s important to note this is more a hostel than a hotel, even though there are private rooms available. The location is also about a 20-minute walk to restaurants/cafes/shopping in the main centre of Nantes, and the area around the hotel was under a lot of construction (long-term) while we were there/feels more like a big university campus + business park. On the positives, the king room was very spacious and comfortable, even though amenities were very basic. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and available at reception 24/7. (The room doesn't have a mini fridge, and the person at reception was able to get us some ice from the bar, to keep some things in our room cool.) Paid lockers for luggage before/after checkout was convenient enough, but again more of a hostel vibe rather than being able to leave luggage with a person at reception for safekeeping. I think this hostel/hotel would be fine for very young travellers (there were a lot of high school kids/groups during our stay), but I wouldn’t recommend if you're expecting a cool/chic modern hotel for adults."

"Great location, just a few metres from Place Graslin and the Mediatheque tram stop. Staff was friendly and accommodating wherever possible. Room has good heating and bedding was comfy. Would have appreciated a physical divider instead of a mere shower curtain to separate the basin/shower area. Fresh croissants and coffee/tea at the lobby was something to look forward to every morning."

"Nice 3-star hotel. Restaurant at the nearby companion hotel pretty good (not much else around beside the airport). Excellent service and staff (swift check-in and out, offered temporary parking for rental car). Great place to stay for travelers with early morning flights!"

"This is a very beautiful property just across from the Nantes airport (easy walking distance to the terminal). The staff we exceptionally helpful, the connected restaurant had great food, the grounds green and luscious and the room was clean, bright, well stocked and comfortable. Due to the weather, we did not use the pool and the tennis court had not been used in some time - and neither of those were of concern to us. The hotel was a big success with us."

"The location is a major plus! Very convenient to the center of town with a quick tram ride, or a pleasant walk. It was a welcome change from a standard hotel, especially having a fully functioning kitchen to prepare meals with fresh finds from the local marché. A few drawbacks to note: housekeeping is not daily, and extra coffee pods cost 2 EUR each after the initial two. Also, on the 7th floor, guests cannot open the windows themselves; you have to request that staff air out the room while you are out. "
