Hôtel Spa du Béryl - Casino JOA de St Brévin l'Océan
8/10 Good
"Overall this hotel is very nice, great location right opposite the beach. The restaurant was good as was the service. The only downside was the flooring in the room needed attention, there were gaps in the wooden floor which should be fixed before allowing the room to be used."
"We booked this hotel as it was one of only a few that had a pool in the area, with availability for our dates. So glad we did get a hotel with a pool (in fact this one has two) as we used both the pools daily.
The hotel is nice and modern, great location only a short walk to the front and all the great restaurants and bars nearby. Rooms were cleaned daily and all the common areas were kept nice and clean too.
Room was well air conditioned which was essential for us due to the warm weather.
We stayed in a Family Duplex, so there was a large bed and sofa on the ground floor and a sofa bed on the upper floor. Before we booked, I did email the hotel and ask if the sofa bed upstairs was suitable for adults and they said it was - however, I would disagree with this unless you are a very small adult!
Plenty of pillows provided, and we had a nice balcony with view of the harbour.
If we could comment on just a few things:
- Sofa bed on the upper level of the Duplex was quite tired looking and not comfortable. In fact, I don't know why the upper level doesn't have a normal bed, either two singles or a double. It would easily fit on there and as there is already another sofa on the lower level it's really not necessary to be a seating area.
- Storage was minimal. Wasn't really enough hanging space or shelves for a family of 4. Could easily add more storage in these rooms.
- Breakfast was ok and staff lovely but quite a few flies with doors open and food not covered."

10/10 Excellent
"Had a two day stay here, while travelling back to the UK. The apartment was excellent and met all our requirements, and the site and facilities were very good, there was a large supermarket 5 mins drive away, and lots of places to visit, would definitely recommend."
"Evening staff were the best ! Very helpful and accommodating. Daytime staff were very busy with hotel chores and sometimes seemed inattentive. However, I still recommend this hotel for its ambience, kind staff, and lovely rooms. Everyone was friendly and kind."
"An excellent modern hotel close to the centre. Garage facilities if you have bikes too. Rooms are contemporary design and immaculate. The bar and restaurant were both excellent and the service received was top notch. Many thanks for a short but happy stay!"
"Quick check in by a friendly member of staff (Sam), who sorted out our secure motorcycle parking. Room was clean, but the bathroom was on the small size and the bed was soft, (OK but not to my liking), breakfast was fresh and of a large selection. "
