"The refrigerator that should have been in my room was missing. The TV simply did not work - snow on every channel. Why didn't I report these? Because the manager who checked me in was the grouchiest, most hostile desk clerk I have encountered in the past few years. She said all the requisite things, like "Enjoy your stay", with a scowl on her face."

"We got a suite that sleeps four people. The sofa had a few stains, the blanket from the sofa had pilling. We were only given 3 towels and should have been 4. I was told by front desk that Happy hour was 5-7pm and we had 2 complementary drinks. When we got to the bar the bartender told us complementary drinks were from 5:30-7pm. Other than that the room was clean, breakfast was good. "

"The slogan of this place: Your home away from home. Could not be more true. The staff here is truly special. From Maria and Richard at the front desk, to Horacio the shuttle driver, and to all the others whose names I have not yet learned - well done! The garden building is very special - like staying in a garden. So peaceful. There are many other places to stay in Laredo, but my family and I stayed here once, and have never looked at another hotel in the area again. There is no need. We are thankful for this place."
