"Great hotel. Awesome staff, bar, pool, sauna and overall environment. Elevator seemed a bit shaky as we got stuck in it multiple times and had to press the floor button a couple of times to get it to let us out. The only real complaint was that the pillows were really too soft (I know right) but it was like there was nothing to support my head while sleeping so they were way to soft with no support. Woke up feeling like I had whiplash because of the lack of support. Minor complaint I suppose....

"Reception was closed when we arrived but there was a self check in at the front door. It gave us the wrong key to start with but this was very quickly sorted after a quick phone call. Our room was bright and comfortable although the bed was slightly hard but that’s just my opinion. The only negative I can think of is that the hairdryer overheated and cut out easily.The breakfast was lovely, both continental and eggs bacon and sausages. Service was excellent. "Unser Zimmer und Bad waren sauber, jedoch schon sehr deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. In der Dusche gab es einige Schimmelflecken. Das Bett und die gute Matratze sorgten für erholsamen Schlaf. "Staff lacking friendliness. Balcony to be shared with neighbour without notification or any kind of separation outside. Was locked out of my room once late in the evening after key card had not been re- activated after I previously made sure my extension had been recognised at reception twice ( sincerity received no confirmation email). Had to call an emergency number who opened the door. No apology st the reception the next morning, only after I asked for one. Hotel could have had a great review from me, was it not for this occasion, the handling of it and variety of staff attitude ( from very nice to arrogant). Breakfast was average with the same for my entire stay, tables often not set up properly. I stayed for 11 days and not sure I would stay here again. The children‘s playground, once done with love and great skill, is neglected. However, great buildings, animals around and a wonderful setting. Pity about some staff. "
