"The Pod was amazing, we don’t think the photos do it justice! We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay and would love to visit again. Kevin and Michelle have thought of everything and were excellent with communicating details for directions and check in/out times. The location is brilliant, so close to St Ives and Carbis Bay, and the main bus route is right on the main road. Would highly recommend to anyone considering staying here. "

"Good location and great if you are travelling to area with out a car. Flat was clean and comfortable but with a little attention to detail could easily be elevated to a really good flat. Entrance needs a good clean and paint and better street signage on the door. Shower very temperamental, scalding hot or freezing cold. Outside area could be easily do with a bit of attention. Seems as if the owner has lost heart and passion in this lovely little flat. "

"We were staying as a family of four adults. The location was in a quiet area overlooking the sea in the distance. The accommodation was very specious, clean and well equipped. One bedroom had a small en suite shower and toilet. There was also a bath with overhead shower and toilet in a separate room. We used the apartment as a base, exploring the nearby beaches and villages. The owner had thought of everything to make guests feel comfortable. The only downside was the noise from the two adults...

"The breakfast at the Mount View Hotel was excellent but the shower facility in Room 5 was not working properly as it supplied either very cold or very hot with no sensible level to shower as it only provided a low level of water!"

"We had a lovely 5 night stay here. Location is excellent. We initially planned to stay in St Ives but due to the parking situation decided to stay in Carbis Bay instead. And there is parking spaces at the property as well as on street parking When we checked in , the lady was friendly and helpful The room was clean, bed was comfortable, shower was great, had free wifi and fridge was stocked with juice, yoghurts, pastries as well as there being tea and coffee available and milk Location was perfect. It’s a 5/10 min walk from Carbis Bay beach, which is a lovely, chilled out beach that looks absolutely beautiful. We had a wander to the next beach across through a lovely scenic route in the hills Also St Ives is a 3/4 minute train ride from Carbis bay, or a nice Half hour walk Finally there were also some great places to eat nearby, we had an amazing fish and Chips at Becks which is just a few minutes walk away, had a couple of great meals at The Gannet and also picked up some yummy cakes from Yvettes Pantry which was a 10min walk away There is also a Costcutter right next to the property which came in handy, as well as a Tesco roughly 10/15mins away"

"3/5 – Decent stay, but tight on space Overall an okay experience. The room was quite small for two people on a week-long trip — storage was limited and we genuinely struggled to find space to open and access our suitcases properly. It's also not a modern hotel, though that's probably fairly typical for the area. There's also no lift, which made carrying heavy luggage up to the room a real struggle. The hotel is right next to a main road, so it was noisy even with the windows closed. On the plus side, the staff were helpful throughout, and the chef was friendly and made a nice impression. The location is a real strength — easy access to both bus and train, so getting around Penzance and beyond was convenient. Given the price we paid, though, it didn't quite feel like it matched the value — for the cost, I'd have expected a bit more in terms of room size and amenities."
