21st anniversary weekend

Six room B&B with fabulous inn keeper and owner. Felt right at home. Excellent breakfast and friendly conversation. Highly recommend. Nice to see old homes being converted to B&B. Super nice spray shower.

Great Getaway!

Great location for our antiquing and Stoudts brewery tour. Lovely innkeepers. Delicious breakfast. The house is old -- so outlets for charging electronics were at a premium -- but modern spa bathrooms and gas fireplaces added to the romantic vibe. All the rooms were full but we hardly noticed. We had a great deal of privacy. We would definitely return here, if just to have coffee with Alice again!

Warm and Inviting!

Had the pleasure of staying at this B&B recently for one night. The owners's, Alice and Stew, were very welcoming when we arrived and gave us a detailed tour. The room was very quaint, warm and inviting. It was also very spacious and clean. It ad all the amenities needed for a stay. We didn't want to leave the room! It was such a relaxing evening and I would highly recommend the Amethyst Inn! We will definitely be going back!

Cute Cottage

Cute cottage situated on the main street in town. The furniture is older/boutique like but clean and the beds are comfortable. Plenty of space and kitchen had all the supplies we could need! We had just a meet and great at the beginning but the innkeepers were very helpful and friendly.

New Owners

My friends made a visit in January 2017, the owner changed by my summer visit. Nice people, but not the experience my friend reported to me when plain people were the owners. Breakfast was delayed until 9:00AM we are early risers and were expecting to be on the road by 9AM. The chef was excellent, fruit cup, eggs Benedict and lemon square with fruit.

Great Place to Say in Adamstown

This was our second stay there and it was wonderful. The breakfast was spectacular and the couple who run the Inn could not have been nicer.

Charming mansion on main street

The inn has very nice old world charm in quaint little town. Very nice inn keepers are running the inn recently acquired by new owners. Very peaceful and relaxing setting.

Not for us.

We stayed in the Dragonfly Cottage at the inn and although the cottage itself was cozy the neighborhood in which it was set was run down and unsavory. We had to drive 30 minutes to get a halfway decent dinner. Being that we were staying at a B and B, we were looking forward to the homemade breakfast that we'd read about but when my husband and I showed up bright and early with our 2 little ones we were not only greeted with a look of confusion but turned away and told our breakfast was in the fridge back at the cottage. 3 bagels, 6 eggs and 2 smsll Containers of OJ. What a disappointment. This just wasn't the warm experience we expected and would not stay there again. ☹️

Perfect home away from home

This is a "true" Bed and Breakfast! Upon arriving, the front porch was so inviting. I was traveling with my 21 year old daughter and snoring Mother. The room upstairs was perfect. It had a queen size bed in one room and a double size bed on the back room which also has a door to the private porch for my Mother to enjoy her stinky morning cigarette The first night we sat on the front porch for four hours enjoying our red wine. It is very quiet there so we had to be sure to whisper. Each morning the breakfast that they served was overly accommodating and not the predictable boring you would expect. Comfortable bed, over sized bathroom, I really felt at HOME! I would recommend this to B & B to a business person, couple or anyone that miisses the comforts of home.

A Great Stay

The single nicest stay we have had in a long time. This Bed and Breakfast had great rooms; great food; a great location; and great conversation (with the owner). I would recommend highly.
