"I can’t recommend this pace enough. Such a comfy bed and HUGE bathtub. It was such an AMAZING experience, you get unlimited time with the capybaras if your spending the night and they are so well taken care of and are so happy, I was petting them for hours! The town around is just the best too, such a rich community, I highly recommend just walking around for a few hours and talking to the locals and getting the local food! "When we arrived, we did not realize that they had discontinued the elephant encounter. The owner / manager was so kind that he accommodated us with another elephant in excursion and transportation free of charge. The staff was super friendly and their rooms were excellent. I highly recommend this for a romantic getaway."

"In general it’s a bit out of reach but it’s a resort anyway. The personnel were quite nice. The property could use some maintenance. Half of the lights in our room didn’t work and the kitchen sink didn’t have any tap or running water. But the good points are the beautiful nature surrounding the property, the water pressure and the peace it provides. Overall you can enjoy your stay here. "

"The property did not look like the pictures on Expedia website which seem photoshopped, the sign has fell of the front of the hotel and the hotel room had stains on the walls and roof. The hotel is also part farm and the animals look sick. Maybe this was a nice hotel in the past but now it’s just not fit for purpose."

"We loved our stay! The staff was helpful and so gracious. We loved the authentic Thai feel of the grounds and our room. Our meals were excellent, and the spa outstanding. We spent 5 nights there and had spa services on 2 afternoons. My husband had sciatica and received a Thai massage that totally cleared his symptoms. Highly recommend!!!"

"Beautiful resort...but in the middle of nowhere! Seemed more like a long term place to stay as there wasn’t much information or assistance for touring. An hour or more from everything! If you’re looking for a nice quiet place to run away to this is it...good food in the restaurant, although expensive, and a beautiful pool... but if you are traveling and wanting to check out the area this is not a good base. We ended up checking out after one night, were suppose to be there a week. They...

"It is a nice place to stay and has a reasonable accommodations and food, but not the best at that price point. It is safe and in a really good location. They are in need of a remodel and updating.
The staff were great and friendly."

"If you're looking for a luxury hotel, this probably isn't the place for you. But if you're looking for a comfortable, welcoming stay in a fantastic location, I highly recommend it.
The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable hard bed! and I slept great every night. The location is excellent most tour companies offer free hotel pickup, and there are plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, temples, and local attractions nearby. The night market is only about a 15-minute walk away.Breakfast was included and was very good. However, what truly made this hotel special was the wonderful people who run it. Their kindness, hospitality, and genuine care made our stay memorable and gave the hotel a warm, personal touch."
"Lovely staff including the front desk staff including Ms. Kate. Very helpful Concierge staff including Mr. Chaw. Very attentive cleaning staff on Floor 10 including Ms. Apple. The staff at the Spa were also very welcoming. I do think the carpets in the hallway need shampooing as it is quite dusty. Moreover, the air conditioning unit in Room 1022 needs thorough maintenance, as it was quite moldy and then it was noisy after the engineers responded to my request for cleaning."
"A quiet spot just outside central Chiang Mai, if you want an escape from the hustle and bustle then this is the place for you. The rooms are simply wonderful, with all the extras you need without having to ask. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, no question is too much for them. Cannot recommend this hotel enough, plus the breakfast is amazing (with vegetarian and vegan options) so do not hesitate to include when you book!"
"Strategically located near Taphae gate and the Old City, Away Chiang Mai was truly a haven where one can relax after a busy day of sightseeing. Highly recommend."
"The resort is great. I was only there for 1 night and so with the activities I've planned, I did not get to use the pool or the spa. It is a beautiful resort. Breakfast was good. They have varieties to choose from. We had 1 dinner there and the foods are good."
"Great location, and great staff! The school across was a little noisy in the mornings, but provided a little taste of real life in the city. Very close to pick up spots for day tours and great restaurants around."
"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tamarind Village for so many reasons: a beautiful lush setting, wonderful friendly staff, and delicious authentic meals. Our room was clean, quiet, and close to the hotel’s amenities, their restaurant, pool, spa, and shop. It was also located perfectly inside the OLD City making walking easily accessible to much the city has to offer. Having stayed in Bangkok for the first part of our vacation, we didn’t feel we really experienced the richness of Thailand’s culture. However, Tamarind Village provided us with many niceties, such as providing tea upon arrival, robe and slippers, a city walk, and cultural pool side offerings. We will definitely recommend this hotel to others and appreciate those who traveled there before us for their glowing recommendations."
