"There was no coffee In the room so you have to get completely dressed to have your first cup of coffee. The breakfast bar was minimal and it closed at 9! Whoever heard of a hotel room with no coffee pot and the breakfast closing at 9. We were out late and could not sleep in because you did not have coffee in the room and the breakfast bar closed at 9. There were no choices after 9 but to drive somewhere to get a cup of coffee!!! We will not stay here again. Also complimentary coffee is in most lobby’s hotels all day. Will not stay here again."

"Staff is very nice and check in area was welcoming. The location of the hotel is convenient for many things. Hotel grounds are well maintained and clean. The room was comfortable, clean and did not have that antiseptic smell that many motel rooms gave. Housekeeping staff was more than helpful. Beds and pillows very comfortable. I enjoyed basing myself out of the Rodestar for three days. Yes, I will stay here again. The breakfast was very nice. Good choices and attentive staff kept it stocked and fresh"

"Breakfast was poor for inflated room rates for Sun n fun fly in but there is a Waffel House across the highway. Prices were at least triple the regular prices and the place needs a serious rehab. The water pressure is good, the rest not so much."

"The property could have been maintained better. The room was fine. However the bathroom only had two bath towels in it. When we asked for some wash clothes/hand towels, we were told there was none, and no one to do the wash."

"I had an absolutely horrible experience here. So bad that even though I had a room booked through the weekend, I left at 5am on my first night. I wish I could’ve left sooner. My room was awful. The floors were disgusting, the shower had black mold in the tub, the shower curtain had many stains including blood, the toilet wasn’t clean, nor was the one towel I was given. The bed was horrible too. The blankets had holes in them like someone put out their cigarettes in them. The mattress was also hard as a rock. There was no remote for the tv, and the door looked like the cops had to beat it down at one point. The lock required heavy force to get it to work too. The place also smelled awful. I can’t even describe what it was. A mix of mold, mildew, cigarettes, meth, and weed. I also didn’t feel safe whatsoever. There were people living there and they were super sketchy. I was getting stared down and some nasty looks thrown my way. The only reason I stayed one night out of the weekend was because I couldn’t get another hotel room somewhere else. I slept with no blanket for maybe 2 hours and I was out of there. I didn’t know the room was non refundable and the staff acted like they didn’t care about their job so it wouldn’t be worth trying to fight and get my money back. If I could give this place a 0 out of 10, that would still be too generous. It should be condemned. There was also a cockroach on my car when I went to leave. So overall it was a horrible experience. STAY AWAY!"
