Lakeview Hecla Resort

10/10 Excellent

"We greatly enjoyed our stay. Our room was updated and very clean, although not a lot of lights (which I personally prefer), if that matters to you. Even the bathroom was quite dim. All of the staff were friendly. The restaurant staff sat us outside but warned us it was going to rain and they would help us move inside when the time came. We lucked out and it only just started as we were ready to pay. Our food arrived quick and was delicious. The gift shop is small but handy. We were happy to find Tylenol! The adult pool area has a hot tub, warm tub, cold plunge and pool, which is both indoors and outdoors. Can’t speak to the kids’ area as we’ve never been. Bar service is a nice touch. The only negative thing this trip was no signage regarding the lighthouse trail being closed. We made it to the halfway point, where there was a fence announcing the remainder of the trail was closed. (the light out is being repaired). Lots of mosquitos so remember to have bug spray if you plan to be out in the trees."

"We had a very comfortable night. We attended an anniversary celebration in Gimli and so didn't spend alot of time at the resort. We enjoyed a light supper at your Seagull restaurant. It was a little cool out but so wonderful to be outside on the water! The bed was VERY comfy."
