"We got scammed on this stay, having booked and paid for a double QUEEN room in advance, just to be denied this accommodation and forced into a double FULL room upon check-in. The desk clerk refused to honor my paid-for booking, saying that the room description provided online was "an example", and I was not entitled to the room listed in my booking, nor was he obligated to honor ANY booking made through this site. After quite a bit of back-and-forth over this issue, he eventually gave me $20 cash to accept this room that did not meet our needs, and was not what I was promised or what I paid for. With no other options last minute for a place to stay, we tried to make it work, but my husband and I could not both fit comfortably in the bed, and one of us had to share a bed with our pre-teen instead (still not a comfortable fit). In addition, the room was FILTHY... Cigarette burns on the tables and linens in a supposedly non-smoking room, the corners of the floors and tub absolutely BLACK with filth, a massive hairball blocking the tub from draining, and bugs everywhere (mostly beetles, but at least 3 roaches). Absolute nightmare of a stay, and I couldn't get out of there fast enough the next morning."
"First id like to start with Gary who checked us in. He was great because we definitely had problems and he tried his very best to fix them.
This hotel is NOT 100% smoke free like it advertises. First room was so smoky it felt like we were in a night club. Gary found us another room. When we got to it it did not smell like smoke but had not been cleaned. Had to go back down to the office (mind you all of these rooms were as far from the office as possible so we were packing our luggage back and forth). Gary apologized and said they never updated the computer about the unmade room. He gave us yet another room. This room was not as smoky as the first but still smoky. By morning it was way worse. Hubby and I are both very smoke sensitive.
This hotel is letting these work crews take over and not making them follow the simple rules, like take your disgusting habit outside. We have stayed here several times in the past and raved about it and clearly they normally do well by all the awards in the lobby. I will be letting Days Inn know about all of this as well."
"Our motel could not have been better, very clean and everything was fine, rooms could have been larger: but fine for what we were charged. THE STAFF FROM CHECK-IN TO BEING GIVEN OUR RECEPT AT CHECK OUT WAS OUTSTANDING, We have received no friendlier service at hotel/motels at costing 3 times as much. If we are ever in the area we would not think of staying anywhere else."
