"Room was huge, comfortable and affordable with free parking. Everything I needed and loved being right beside the lake, whilst also convenient for Mt Cook National Park, Lake Tekapo and restaurants in town. It felt very safe, relaxed and family friendly."
"The Huts are a special place to stay and the pricing reflects that. I was concerned about being in a holiday park but no need. The huts themselves are very soundproof and I quite enjoyed watching the goings on at the campervan site.
The rooms were compact as expected but very functional and still felt new. The view is unparalleled. Bathroom was an excellent size and great fluffy towels. Toiletries were good quality but did feel like they had been watered down somewhat.
Also, for the price paid I would expect the room to be serviced better daily. We got new towels but left in the bedroom and not put in the bathroom. They took the dishcloth and tea towel and didn’t replace ( we had to phone to get this so we could clean dishes). Would be nice if the bed was remade. Also odd that crockery and cutlery is limited to three items. Constant washing up required.
We didn’t use the bathtub on the deck but did love sitting out there for the view. Note that you do get quite a bit of noise from the water park. Also early in the morning the staff at the water park play loud music when setting up.
This is an excellent and relaxing place to stay. "
