"Motel is well situated for lake view, and fairly priced in comparison to neighbouring properties. Spa bath was a welcome addition for weary muscles. Ammenities adequate with plenty of kitchen utensils. However layout made cooking and dish-washing tricky. No kitchen table indoor or outdoor so had to use coffee table. While spacious, this aging property is overdue for a refresh. While our information sheet said the units were serviced daily, ours was not, even though we displayed the housekeeping sign - which made our return after a long day not as relaxing as we would have expected. The office person was friendly when we arrived. "

"The stay was right on the lake, and the town centre was walkable. The staff at reception were really helpful with our trip to Milford Sound, and gave us really valuable information! It was a little strange to need to pay for our kitchen equip"

"The unit was adequate for a two night stay. Very convenient for early morning boat trip on Doubtful Sound. Beautiful view of lake. Road a stone’s throw in front of unit but not very busy and bedroom was at the rear. Old fashioned interior and furnishings. Plenty of hot water, clean bedding and towels. No television but good WiFi. Overall we felt pricing was a bit on the high side. Parking beside unit. "
