Nice B&B

Very nice B & B in Lake Helen. It could not have been more peaceful. The Island room was clean and comfortable.The breakfast was fine, but not elaborate. Hugo the host, was very pleasant and had a lot of info about the area. A great place to get away if visiting the areas springs or the mystic village of Cassadaga.

Mellowing out in Lake Helen

Hugo was a wonderful host. He suggested various places to visit. He made great pancakes. It was fun watching him feed the ducks. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. The house was quiet and peaceful. It's worth a return trip.

Good time had by all

Older, but very cute and well appointed BNB with a beautiful view of Lake Helen, and a great screened in porch for hanging out. Interior and exterior were immaculate and everything was in working condition. The owners were readily available and very pleasant. Breakfast was a simple, but very adequate continental style with waffles and eggs made to order. We would definitely return back to this BNB without hesitation. In all, we rented 3 of the 4 rooms available and everyone in our party was pleased with the choice.

We really enjoyed our experience staying at the Cabin on the Lake. It was cozy, welcoming, and truly a special place. We loved the lake and grounds. Everything was very clean, and breakfast was delicious. The hosts were super helpful and communicative. She had great recommendations for where to go and eat. We enjoyed downtown DeLand which was having a cute community event the night we went. It was just what we needed for a night away together as a couple. Thank you! We will be back!

A Quiet Cozy Getaway

We had a wonderful stay! The property is beautiful, nestled in a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful lake across from the entrance. The property is beautiful and full of southern charm. The room we stayed in was the Captain’s Room which is nautical themed and featured a jacuzzi tub (I unfortunately didn’t get to test out the jacuzzi function though). It was adorably decorated and very cozy. Breakfast service in the morning takes place in the common area of the office. Everything was delicious and fresh and we got to take treats for the road too. You can’t eat in the room but there’s a cute space to dine in the screened in porch, which was a super fun experience to have dinner with my husband at night! There’s also a property cat. He is sweet as can be. I recommend head pats. 10/10 experience.
