"The only reason to stay at this old and poorly maintained hotel is the daily chicken racing at 5 pm. This was unique and good fun. The hotel was cheap and for that you got poor shared facilities, We didn’t eat at the pub but the actual room was one of the worst I’ve ever been in."

"The hotel is great - food, service and atmosphere. We stayed in a double unit that advertised private outside bathroom. While we expected very basic accommodation, I think we expected the private bathroom to be a bit closer to the unit. Perhaps that needs to be made clearer in the promotional material. Getting up in the night to go to the toilet in the cold was challenging but we enjoyed our stay nonetheless."
