"This was an amazing and unique experience in the middle of the desert. The camel ride and the SUV tour was worth it . I had tea in the nomads tent ,visited the old mines , listening to a life Gnawa show and lunch at Nora restaurant than camel ride back to camp .The host Zaid was the best host ever , he picked us upon arrival at 2am and drove us to camp than serve us a full dinner course especially made for us .I want to thank Zaid ,Mohamed and Fatima for making our visit so special .

"Fantastic property with very friendly staff. We decided to stay here instead of a ‘luxury desert camp’ because there were so many with similar names. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast by Ismail was varied and tasty. The hotel also arranges camel and quad bikes for the lowest prices we could find so we didn’t haggle. Its best to book these activities though the hotel for a hassle free experience as these activities are next to the hotel.
Thanks for an amazing stay. "
"The staff are beyond friendly. We enjoyed our fireside riddles and laughed a lot with some of the staff. Our camel ride out to the camp with guide Mohammed was stellar. There was a stop for the sunset and some local berbere men shared their sand board with us so we could play on the dunes. The only thing I'd change about the entire experience is the dinner. I wish it'd been more authentic and less "fancy". I should also warn that the heat does not and has not worked in the camp in some time. We...
"Sanmao Desert Luxury Camp exceeded all expectations. The location is breathtaking — endless dunes, magical sunsets, and a peaceful silence that stays with you. The tents are beautifully designed and very comfortable, offering real luxury in the heart of nature.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home right away. Dinner under the stars, traditional music, and the warmth of the campfire created a truly unforgettable atmosphere.

"Desert Camp run by very friendly hosts, we enjoyed our time there. Room was spacious and comfortable. We did a camel trek to the camp (extra fee) which was a great experience in itself. In the evening, there was traditional Berber music around a campfire, which was good fun. Would recommend."
"Property was beautiful. Staff weren’t really very helpful. Would have liked some info on tours as I had previously asked about on WhatsApp. Ended up booking stuff with someone else "
"My stay at Merzouga Retreat Camp was absolutely unforgettable! From the warm hospitality to the breathtaking desert views, everything was perfect. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had an authentic experience. The luxury tents were clean and beautifully designed, offering a perfect blend of comfort and tradition. Watching the sunrise over the dunes during the camel ride was magical. Highly recommend this camp for anyone looking for a unique and peaceful getaway in...
"It is a fantastic Desert Camp with spectacular views. A MUST DO when you visit Morocco! 🇲🇦
Youssef and his team made our 2-day stay, which is needed to experience the camp and the dessert, to an unforgettable vacation experience for our whole family. Thanks to the Desert Camp Team, we will come back next time when we are in Morocco. "
"The service is excellent. It is very thoughtful to give us a bottle of sand of Sahara when we leaving. The food is excellent too. I had a very very good time there."
"The photos are simply untrue. The camp is in poor condition - broken chairs & lanterns; blankets thrown about; garbage strewn here & there. There is only one outlet in each tent and electricity was not always available. We had less than five minutes of hot water over 48 hours. Often one teenager was the only staff on site, and we had to communicate using Google translate, as the adults simply were not around. Hamid did his best to keep things lively, but he’s working with very little. I...
