Palace Grand Hotel Varese

"The hotel was pretty nice, set in gardens with a view of the lake. The room was a good size but could do with an update. Everything was clean, staff were lovely. We arrived pretty tired after a long drive and asked to use the spa and were told to go and seek out the spa and book it ourselves. I must admit, I didn't bother. Why they didn't get the spa to call our room or allow us to book at reception I guess we'll never know."

"The property is nicely located across from the lake. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Stayed for one night. Enjoyed it! It is an older remodeled hotel. Great view from the terrace."
Villa Rêverie - Boutique Hotel

"We stayed here for 3 nights and I have nothing but good things to say about Villa Rêverie. The staff warmly greeted us and were super friendly, kind, and helpful. They insisted we sit out on the balcony and enjoy a welcome drink of prosecco overlooking Lake Como while they checked us in and brought up our luggage to the room. They offer free transportation to their restaurant in Varenna, and the driver was really laid-back and full of good energy, as were all the staff. The hotel is about an 8-minute walk from Bellano train station and sits in a very calm, quiet part of the lake, which is great if you don't want the noise of other tourists. The breakfast was amazing and definitely worth grabbing before heading out for the day. The ONLY complaint I would have is that the AC isn't really the best, but we truly only felt this at night. Other than that, we will definitely be returning for future trips to Lake Como. They plan to open a restaurant downstairs from the hotel around spring 2027, but if you're looking for a dinner spot near the hotel, I highly recommend checking out "Truth"."

"Swimming pool water was a bit cold than expected. Steam room and sauna were good. Can't comment on breakfast as we didn't have one. Rooms are big and spacious"

"Beautiful hotel over looking Lake Como. The Terrazza 241 has an incredible view of the Lake. As we were finishing an outstanding dinner at Terrazza, a full moon appeared over the mountains across the Lake. A moment we will never forget."

"Staff were all so client-service oriented, business-like but in a pleasant way. Marco at the reception desk was so helpful. Breakfast was adequate and varied enough to please all types of travellers. The hotel's location is ideal as it is quiet while right in the town centre and is about 10 minutes away on foot from the train station. A good alternative to staying away from the hustle and bustle of Milan city center while being only about 30 minutes or so away by train."
