"Do not ever under any circumstances ever consider staying here . I made a reservation through Expedia Payment was taken and the hotel confirmed the reservation I arrived late after a long day and a flight from NY there was no one at the counter, but there was a sign saying back in 10 minutes, so I proceeded to sit down and wait and wait at some point The phone rang and a woman emerged from the back with a bell that she proceeded to place on the counter saying ring the bell for service. Meanwhile, the phone rang and she immediately picked up the phone as if I wasn’t even there and then told the person that there was one room left and that they were going to get it and took all the information and proceeded to deal with me at that point she told me that I did not have a reservation so I showed her the reservation on my phone. She said she could check in another area showing enough. She said my reservation was canceled canceled by who she said it was canceled because it was overbooked and that, I should’ve received a phone call but they didn’t have my phone number. This is absolutely ridiculous because she gave somebody else a room five minutes before. If she would’ve taken the time just to speak with me before she took the phone call maybe I would’ve had a room instead I had to drive at half hour all the way back to Chula Vista because there’s no hotels anywhere near that area. It was a disgrace never mind that it’s run down. I would rather stay at the Bates Motel."

"It's a very comfortable and clean small hotel. Easy to check-in. Very convenient parking right outside the room. "

"This little place gets 5 stars for location, cleanliness, and amazingly helpful and friendly staff. It is an older motel so do not expect a resort-like atmosphere. However, it true to its advertisement and was a great option for me as I just needed a clean, quiet place while I worked in the area for a few days. It is also close to a nice casino resort and some cute and quaint little towns nearby. I did not hike but was told by other guests that the area is home to great camping and hiking opportunities. If you are bringing a pet.. be sure to call so that they can assign you to a pet friendly room. My little dog and I enjoyed the stay. "

"We love this property. We stay a couple of times a year. There are some things I wish they would do better. They are minor - they should clean the rooms more thoroughly- little things add up like grimy oil on the window shutters, stains in the bathroom in places that aren't obvious. I only mention these because of the room rates-they warrant more detailed cleaning. Love the electric vehicle chargers, the staff, the property - they have shuffleboard, large chess (although these were missing during our stay), pickleball, tennis, swimming, etc"
