"staff were amazing "

"I arrived and the owner wasn’t expecting me even though I had booked earlier that day through Expedia. The room was fine, hard mattress but I like that. A bit outdated and hard worn sheets but I slept really well. I asked about dinner and the owner said yes 7:30. I was sat in reception alone (in the dark as the light kept going off) and served a bowl of pasta with chopped up smoked salmon and cheese, a dry crepe and a terrible packaged flan. "As an American in a foriegn country, there are challenges with languages and services. We're spoiled here in the US. Big gyms, ice machines on every floor, etc. FIrst person I encountered spoke English well, room was made up every day and overall stay was enjoyable. Entering building from other than the main doors only negative. Will definitely return when staying in the area."

"Very friendly host. All facilities available in a quiet and tranquil setting. More of a B&B than a hotel and all the better for it. Would recommend "

"Lovely clean modern hotel. Suite was huge and beds really comfy. We stayed during a hot period so struggled a big with the heat as the suite has big windows, but there was an aircon unit we could use. Super friendly staff. Breakfast was nice but we kept having to ask for refills of most things, but they were happy to do that. The grounds are stunning and relaxing. We would sit ourside in the evening with a local beer (great IPA and Blond) and listen to the birds."
