"I was very satisfied with the hostel, the room was clean, bright, and spacious. The view from the window was also great. The owner was a very cheerful and kind person. I went to "Santuario de San Pedro de Alcantara", and the scenery was wonderful on the gentle 2.7km riverside road from the hostel to there, the birds singing and the babbling brook were soothing, and I was impressed by the scent of flowers when I breathed in. It was a very nice place."

"Fabulous Parador in the mountains. Upgrade to a Mountain View room if you can. Staff friendly and helpful, excellent restaurant serving the best octopus I’ve ever had. Rooms aren’t huge but are well equipped.Parador easy to find and roads are good. Can’t wait to come back!"

"Me encanto la experiencia de dormir bajo las estrellas. Me gusto la privacidad del sitio. El personal fue encantador. El desayuno tambien fue muy completo y exquisito. "We had a warm welcome from the owner, and the apartment we stayed in was a good size, with a separate bedroom and living/kitchen area. The apartment is above a garage (separate to the rest of the hostel) and below the owners living area. The kitchen was mostly well equipped, with a microwave, oven, hob, filter coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine, plenty of crockery and pans. However, there is no kettle (we used a pan to boil water on the hob) and it was woefully short on cutlery,...

"its a 1 star Hostal - so dont expect much and you will be pleasantly surprised. Aircon was good, Shower was a bit poor due to low water pressure but water was hot. Easy access and parking. Helpful guy at reception. Room was cleaned which we were not expecting. "

"We recently stayed at Estrellas de Gredos and were really disappointed. The place has stunning mountain views and a traditional curved ceiling, but a lot of things went wrong. The biggest issue was a broken sliding door that wouldn’t lock. When we told the staff, they showed up unannounced at 22:00 and just said it was safe to leave it unlocked, which didn't sit right with us. The inside felt cheap too. The kitchen had flimsy Ikea stuff that looked like it could fall apart any minute. The plates were still wet and dirty, and the pots and tongs had seen better days. The only cava glass there made it clear they weren’t keeping things up to scratch. The garden was just weeds, and the breakfast was just a few basic pastries from the supermarke The interior felt cheap, especially the kitchen, which was equipped with flimsy Ikea furniture and appliances. Plates were damp and stained, and the cooking tools were worn out, including a burnt saucepan and melted tongs. There was only one cava glass available, and the garden was unkempt. The 'included' breakfast consisted only of a few long-life supermarket pastries, insufficient for our stay. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was non-functional, forcing us to rely on our mobile data. Overall, while the setting is beautiful, the lack of attention to detail and basic amenities made it clear that Estrellas de Gredos does not provide good value for the money spent. We left feeling underwhelmed and overcharged."
