I will be back in two weeks. This was the best hotel in Kushimoto. I been coming there for more than 10 years.
It could use a resturant but a fantastic place 50 yards away (walking).
The accommodation is new, staffs are very friendly. The room is spacious and clean with a sea view, and you can see Hashiguiiwa rocks from the hotel window. The hotel has coin laundry machines and a car park. There are few dining options nearby, for the supermarkets and convenience stores you might need a car. Overall it was a pleasant stay, definitely will stay here for my next trip to Kushimoto.

This hotel looks new and modern, very cozy. There’s no cafe within the hotel but there’s a small pantry with free coffee, microwave oven and table/chairs for us to have our drinks. We drove around 3-5 mins to restaurant and convenience store. Self service laundry at ¥500 for wash, ¥100/20 mins for drying. room wise, pretty spacious with a small couch by the window. Overall a really beautiful hotel, highly recommended.
Very new, clean and thoughtfully designed hotel literally a stone throw away from the local Hashiguiiwa Rocks. Water view rooms have an amazing view of the rocks from above, which alone is worth the stay. Comfortable large long bed and pillows you would expect at an international hotel chain. Complementary tea, coffee and drinks in the lobby. No dining outlets but plenty of dining options nearby with recommendations offered by the property. I would definitely stay here again if I were to visit Kushimoto again.
The front desk staff were so polite. Check in was very simple. We upgraded our room to get a view of the ocean/Hashiguiiwa rocks. I highly recommend this!
The staff member who checked us in was using a pocket translator which was very easy to use and communicate. There were also staff who spoke excellent English.
The room and shower were absolutely luxurious after the cramped room styles of Kyoto. This seems to be a very small town but there were a few dinner spots a few minutes away by car—or a 10 minute walk.
They allowed us to leave our car parked on the property while we backpacked across the Kumano Kodo trail for several days.
I would absolutely recommend this as a way to start and finish that trek!
This hotel has no restaurant, no bath, no gym, no breakfast. It is a very basic hotel but charges way more than what it has to offer. The area has some restaurants that close very early. If one arrives late, the only option is frozen food or cup noodle the hotel sells.
Most staff were friendly. However, the check-in was not pleasant. The guy who checked us in agreed to upgrade our room. And then after we settled in the room, he called us asking us go down to the lobby and pay extra for the free upgrade he gave us. Ridiculous.
I especially liked Nonaka excellent customer service and bright smile! Definitely a very nice welcome after many hours driving from Tokyo to the hotel!
Easy access to Hashigui iwa.
Wishing to have a hot spring, “Onsen”.

Nice stay in Kushimoto
I had a really nice stay at the Fairfield. The staff there was very very helpful. The room was spacious, well maintained and had a small hot pot to geat water for coffee, tea or miso soup.
You do not need soap or shampoo hecause it provided in the shower.
There are a couple of restaurants nearby but they close around 8pm plan to go to the market which is a little over a mile away. Theres a local bus that runs almost every hour for 200¥ one way.

The hotel is clean and new. The staff already prepared everything while we arrived.Although we speak different language, I can feel that they do try their best to help me .Thank you a lot! And if I travel again to wakayama province, I would like to stay in this hotel again .

Unless you have a car, this property isn’t very convenient and there is no shuttle service available.

This hotel is the worst! It didn’t have extra sheets! If you spilled something on your bed, their policy is to transfer you to another room!! Also, I was asking for a late check out but the staff said because I don’t have an elite membership, I need to pay for a late check out.
I have travelled the world and this is the first time that I am declined a late check out (on a Sunday) unless I pay, and to think Kushimoto is in the South most part of Honshu island, very very little people or guests, it’s not like the hotel was full or that guests were arriving. I don’t recommend anyone to stay here.
