"The staff was excellent and very helpful and professional. The desk is open 24/7, so there is always someone there to help you if needed. The breakfast was outstanding, and you will certainly not leave hungry and there is lots of delicious food and all the coffee you can drink (freshly ground at that)! The room was clean and comfortable, and I was able to get very good sleep. The only issues that I had were that the refrigerator in the room didn’t work, and when it was brought up to the staff they seemed to already know that it had been an issue in the past. This could become an issue if someone buys perishable food from the store thinking that the refrigerator works. Also, the spout of the electric kettle was pretty grimy, and had a thick film of residue covering the screen on the spout. I boiled water but decided not to use it once I noticed the residue. Overall, it was a great stay, and I must recommend the food at Oskar’s. It’s absolutely fantastic and you can tell the chef takes pride in his or her craft."

"**Exceptional Hospitality and a Wonderful Stay** We had a wonderful stay! The staff were exceptionally attentive, kind and thoughtful. They even found out it was my birthday and surprised me with a lovely dessert with a candle at breakfast and a bottle of Prosecco in our room. These special gestures made my birthday truly memorable and made us feel so welcome. A big thank you to the entire team for such wonderful hospitality! We would love to return!"

"This was an excellent place to stay for an early flight out of Riga. Some of the photos for this property are quite out of date-- our room was refurnished, clean, and well maintained. Also, the woman running the front desk was one of the friendliest people we had encountered in our travels-- kind and warm. We stopped by a bit early in the hopes of leaving our bags at the desk until check in, but since our room was ready, she let us check in and leave them in the room. Very easy walk to the airport- smooth sidewalk for rolling suitcases, well-lit, and I saw a few other walkers going to work (at 5 am)."

"Clean and well appointed small rooms with the hotel located in quiet secure surroundings. Sadly bar prices are twice what they realistically should be, breakfast is poor with limited choice and reception staff tried to charge me twice and knew nothing about the restaurant telling me to ask the restaurant if I want to know anything. Pretentious guests everywhere but I guess that’s what the Latvian golf fraternity are. So could be a great place with a little training and a pricing review or, if you’re going to charge high prices for drink and food, employ a chef with the skills to provide food of an appropriate quality."

"Centrally located hotel within walking distance to Liepaja's major attractions. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and comfortable. I had booked a standard single room, which although not updated and with amenities like their premium rooms, was very clean, spacious and with a nice view of the city. The breakfast was amazing! Excellent value for what I paid."
