"Ok - where do I start! The “rooms” where not ready when we arrived- no one was expecting us in fact, I spoke to the lovely lady who owned the place and she explained that her rooms where usually pay by the hour (ugh). We had no choice but to stay here - one of the rooms had no lock and another had no bed! This was soon rectified but not to a satisfaction we would expect. There where no televisions in the rooms, no fridges (not even a plug socket!) one room didn’t even have bedding!...

"All of the staff were very attentive to all of our needs. Cleaning staff did an amazing job. The breakfast buffet was amazing. If you needed anything not in the buffet , the staff would try to accommodate your special needs . All of the managers were friendly and accommodated any special needs that We requested. The Hotel is in a great location close to the ocean . The only issue We found was that the pool was located far from the main building. It was a struggle to get to the pool because of the distance and stairs to get there. Otherwise the pool area was very clean and a great size . Would definitely stay there again on my next trip to Srilanka."

"This is a lovely, understated hotel in a quiet, upscale part of Colombo. The rooms are clean, bright and tasteful. The staff are wonderful across check-in, housekeeping, room service and dining. I must give a special shout-out to Jagath, Sirisena and the whole bell staff team, who were very helpful to one of our party with mobility challenges. A highly recommended hotel."
