"Excellent hotel, with very hospitable staff. Room is large (for Japan) with large private natural onsen bath. Food was very good, quantity was just right."

"Enormous room, perfect onsen, I think this should be the top few hotels in Ureshino. Staff are also friendly, and the building is really new. Elegant stay, would 200% come again."

"Staff is helpful and polite, onsen is good, breakfast's food & environment are excellent . Dislike the staircases at the entrance, difficult to take luggage for check in and out.
Will come again."

"Excellent traditional experience, onsen is great and the traditional food sets (both breakfast and dinner) are very nice.
Only problems I had overall were maintaince going on during my stay (landscaping and some light building work), and some parts of the building are showing their age (especially in the onsen and lobby areas).
Bonus note, some of the hole in the wall restaurants nearby are excellent and the rual area nearby is great for a break from the big cities (it has that fresh air...

"Old fashioned Japanese hotel, but clean environment.
Free coffee on arrival and light breakfast was offered.
Open air onsen was very nice
Only issue was, there was no toilet inside the room which things a bit interesting at night when the human nature was calling.
Otherwise lovely hotel with friendly staff"

"We were unaware on our reservation through Hotels.com that our reservation included breakfast and dinner. We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and dinner was basically the same every night - not what I am looking for in a vacation. Still the dinner is very good. Having said that, all the food is very Japanese, so not what all travelers can do.
The hotel itself is gorgeous with amazing amenities. The staff lovely although not too comfortable with English which is fine of course. We particularly...

"The building is newer and clean. However, the wall is thin. You can hear neighbor’s snore.
That made me nightmare couple of the days during the stay. You also cannot stay in your room during the cleaning. (Most of the hotels in Japan, you can stay in room during the cleaning) the refrigerator, you cannot save ice cream and other frozen items."

"I’ve got a very serious burn injury during my stay at this hotel while using the private hot spring facility provided. And unfortunately none of the staff appeared to understand English well enough to handle the situation."
