"Very convenient location, super close to the MTR station and shopping malls. Staff were friendly and welcoming and there's free dispensable cold water available which was great. The room was very small but it was enough for what I needed and most importantly it was clean. Only negatives is the shower could do with a lightbulb as it was very dark and other guests can be quite loud sometimes."

"The location of hostel is convenient and easy access with bus and metro…but noisy during midnight as downstairs near to bar and even can hear the communication…no signal for TV due to external renovation "

"I've stayed at Ashoka Hostel before. If you are a budget traveler, I can't recommend this place enough. I needed a cheap place to stay while getting my visa updated last year. So I stayed here again. I stayed during the May holiday this time, which meant the price was more than $44 a night, but it was still a bargain. If you are looking for a safe place to sleep and clean up, this is it. I didn't have a refrigerator this time, but it was okay. The rooms are super-tiny. But it didn't matter to...

"Amazing hotel, great location but it's the staff who help this hotel shine. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Hong Kong. Club Floor is just wonderful..."
"A very nice hotel but completely let down by the swimming pool.
1: The water was so cold no one could swim in it.
2. On a beautiful warm day you were not allowed to have a cold beer at the pool.
3. Everyone had to leave every day between 1pm and 2pm.
It was absolutely bizarre. I have never in all my time saw anything like it. So out of place with the rest of the hotel. I would not stay here again. "
"We stayed at a NS twin w/a side harbor view. Spacious & clean but a bit dark due to the lighting. Close proximity & easy access from hotel to subway station, shops & restaurants. Either the subway or harbor walk path leads to shopping malls, attractions & more restaurants. Welcoming staff."
Hostels are a great way to stay for a good value, so you can save your money for fun things to do. We've heard good things about the waterfront and other attractions in this destination, as well as activities like shopping.
