"ロケーションやもともとの建物は悪くないが、建物が古くなっているせいか、ペットのアンモニア臭が染みついてかなり臭い。トイレの匂いもするし、虫が半端なくいる。食事を予約するホテルの予約センターも沢山の施設を統合しているせいか、電話がかかりにくく、電話に出る女性の対応もよろしくない。経営方法を考えた方がよいと思う。"

Richmond Hotel Matsumoto

10/10 Excellent

"Lovely hotel, very clean room, helpful staff, parking was tricky, is in small building to right of entrance, take out all luggage, attendant will direct you to drive car into lift space, give you a ticket and you take that to reception when checking in. Matsumoto was a great quiet town up in mountain area, the castle is only 5 min walk away and plentiful restaurants in area to choose from."

Hotel JAL City Nagano

"I stayed at the JAL for 8 nights and was happy with the service. The location is great as it is a short walk to Zenkoji Temple, the Prefectural Museum and also to Nagano JR Station. Nagano was a fascinating city to visit and the JAL was situated in a good location for finding amenities such as shopping and food. I love to walk and I really enjoyed exploring the area around the hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Although my room was rather crowded with 3 beds, it was kept clean and well stocked. My only complaint was that the breakfast for a Westerner was very limited and got predictable very quickly. The food was very good, presented well and tasted fine but after 8 breakfasts eating the same things I was ready for a change."

Hotel Nikko Niigata

"I was arriving in Niigata by ferry, and so I picked this place because it was close to the port. HOWEVER, there are multiple places where ferries dock, and my ferry ended up at a dock farther away. I ended up needing to take a taxi to the hotel. The view is phenomenal and the room was wonderful. The Chinese restaurant was very good. There was also a gift shop that was great. I had a lot of work I needed to do that kept me in the hotel, so I didn't check to see how easy it would have been to get around the city, though I did need another 10-minute taxi to get to the train station. But I really loved the room as one of the best during my travels, and would stay again if I get the chance."

APA Hotel & Resort Niigata Ekimae Odori

"APA is still a business hotel so the room size is going to be small. Good thing is that it is luxurious in terms of presentation so in a way you will feel the money is well spent. As per APA standard, all the amenities, switches and luggage space (under the bed) is all well planned. Just having the room to sleep this is more than enough. Key thing to note is that the lift will be full of people from 15 minutes before and after the check out time at 10am so don't leave it too late to check out. The other nice amenity is the public baths. Enjoy the warm 40 degree C water to ease your tired muscles after a day of walking and exploring. I don't know I miss it until I got to APA Ueno where it does not have a public bath so enjoy it while you can. Personally I have skipped the breakfast at APA. It is not expensive but after experiencing the other APA's breakfast, I think I can do better at the nearby Cafe."

"We loved this hotel. It’s amazingly close to the castle and within walking distance of a delicious Hoto Moto and 711. It’s clean, quiet, we loved the bathroom, and the AC was freezing cold. When we needed help the front desk was amazing and helped with anything we needed. We will be back!"

Hotel Okura Niigata

"The hotel is just a short walk from the station on the other side of the river. If you are unable to work, as we were due to an injury to my wife's knee, there were always taxis to take you wherever you wanted to go. This is a luxury hotel and the standard matches that. Staff always very welcoming and helpful, and offered my wife a wheel chair for use in the hotel if she needed it. I would have no hesitation in going back to the hotel again. Also of note is that this hotel is an evacuation centre in the event of a tsunami, so a safe place to stay."

"駅から近く便利でした。お部屋は綺麗でした。朝食は混んでいましたがすぐに自分の番がきてテーブル席に座れました。チェックアウト後の荷物預かりはないので荷物を預けたい人は近くのコインロッカーを利用しなければいけません。"
