J'ai été extrêmement déçu de mon séjour. Dès mon arrivée on m'assoit au restaurant en attendant que ma chambre soit prête, et plus rien, il n'y a personne qui me demande si j'aimerais boire ou manger qq chose, personne. J'ai dû aller trouver le personnel qui est toujours dans le bureau climatisé pour demander des glaçons. Arrivé dans la chambre (une chambre simple), c'est vrai que c'était bien petit, enfin, pas grave. Le matelas super dur! Bonjour les courbatures le lendemain! Une climatisation qui ne semblait pas bien fonctionner, pas de télévision! Et ben! Mais pourtant c'est bien affiché sur les descriptifs d'Hotels.com ET le site de l'hôtel aussi. La salle de bain a un ventilateur ouvert sur l'extérieur qui tourne en continu, il fait 33 degrés dedans comme à l'extérieur!! Le soir, c'est la porte d'entrée pour les moustiques! Alors, bien sûr je me suis fait piquer plusieurs fois. Je pense aussi qu'il y avait une restriction sur les glaçons comme pour le gaz a cuisiner. Vraiment pas terrible comme hôtel, extrêmement déçu et lorsque je me suis plaint au personnel, je voyais très bien qu'ils s'en foutaient carrément. J'ai appelé Hotels.com, rien à faire, je ne peux pas changer de chambre car apparemment l'hôtel est plein. En tout cas, je n'ai pas vu grand monde durant mon séjour. Heureusement je n'y suis resté que 3 nuits, 2 auraient été bien assez! Avec les restrictions de gaz, pas grand-chose au menu, mais je dois dire que le chef est un très bon chef par contre.

Clean, friendly staff, quiet hotel

Clean, centrally located, yet quiet hotel by the beachside. The building has a delightful architecture with helpful and friendly staff. The mattress could’ve been more comfortable but in the grand scheme of things it wasn’t a big issue. I even got a nice goodie back at my hotel check-in. Would definitely stay again if I’m back in the area.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming ti the property which was a converted dutch house. Rooms were snug but clean and comfortable. Mosquitos were a bit of a problem but they were treating this every day which helped a lot. Good selection of food for breakfast with some hot cooked fresh inclusing masala dosa and eggs (any preferred way). As we had an early flight home they packed us breakfast which was very kind. Use the hotel organksed spa for ayurvedic massage/facials which was great. Location was right in fort kochi so was convenient to walk around the area.

Good stay

This hotel was good—looks nice and rooms are nice. The staff is very helpful and very accommodating—even with our middle-of-the-night checkout/departure. The food menu is somewhat limited but that's not surprising given that it's a small place. Our bathroom had a bad sewage-type odor when we arrived but it seemed to have been fixed after housekeeping. I'd stay again.

The room was very clean and spacious with a nice separate sitting area. The hotel is located quite close to the waterfront, and not too far from several shops and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay here and would return again.

Great service

After two weeks of travelling through Tamil Nadu and Kerala, we ended our trip at Amritara, and were so happy we did. Very spacious rooms, comfortable beds and large bathrooms gave us the comfort we needed to wind down and prepare for long journeys home. The area is quiet and within easy walking distance to busier parts of the town. Breakfast was ok, but service was slow - fortunately we had leisurely morning for this, but it wouldn't work for those with less time. Service was wonderful from Nancy, who accommodated our late departing flight with a late check-out - being able to shower prior to heading to the airport made all the difference!

We were expecting a more up market looking place but soon any disappointment faded - the location opposite the sea and next to the old dutch cemetery was easy, the breakfast was generous and good, the hotel staff were very kind and helpful. We had a room upgrade and were allowed a late checkout. I grew to really enjoy our room and verandah in this small heritage hotel. I'd check out the group's hotels in other locations. Thanks to the manager and staff.
