"We had bats living in our roof, apparently knowingly by the owner (they built a house for them on the near cabin and they migrated to ours). We had to go to bed and sleep with constraint scratching and sliding noises, that was terrible. When we brought it to the attention of the team, they didn’t even bother apologising. "In general the hotel is very run down. Things falling apart and dysfunctional, including pool area and umbrellas and gardens. The resort is in desperate need of serious maintenance. Also, no wi fi in rooms for a 4 star hotel is not really acceptable. Poor conditions somewhat compensated for by the first class and much appreciated service from Petrus and some of his staff -especially chef and Thabisa."

"We loved our stay at this property. The views were amazing and the room was beautiful. We had dinner at the restaurant both night we were there and the food was fantastic. The welcome drink was delicious. If it had been on the menu we would have had several. The only complaint I have would be the fact that there was no help with the luggage when we checked out and the woman at reception would not allow me to leave the car out front for a couple of minutes so I could help my daughter with the luggage. The service at the end was a real disappointment after such a great stay. For this reason I can’t give it 5 stars."
