"Positives - it is well positioned for the train station, the whole hotel was very clean. There was plenty of tea and coffee in the room. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was welcome on a hot and humid day. Could do better - there were stains on the carpet. The shower wasn’t very powerful and the window allowed some outside noise to come in from outside. There were some works being carried out on the outside of the hotel. However I still slept well and I will return to this hotel"

"Self Checkin, Room Key Activated on Phone, everything worked well and no need to visit the reception desk. Breakfast was included in our stay, and there was a very good choice of food and the quality was good. Highly recommend"

"Stayed here many times, but my god , please consider installing air con for the warmer months and also a fridge in the rooms would be a great idea. Breakfast was good as always, a pint was a little bit pricey compared to nearby pubs, but all in all , it’s a great location and a nice hotel."

"Very clean, staff friendly, had to pay a deposit of £25 on arrival which was refunded day after but I was unaware of at time of booking. Only negative was the water pressure in the shower being abysmal."

"Location good for NCP car park, though hotel does have parking at reduced cost but we did not use it. Reception helpful at check-in. Pleasant walk to town centre and nearby bars looked busy. Entrance is spacious but dated in decor, but looks like it is being upgraded. New carpet had been laid on floor to our room. Room was ideal for our needs, enough towels, toiletries and good lighting. Blinds could have covered more as light was coming on by 4.30 am. Welcomed to dining area, Breakfast included and good quality sausages and choice. Just reduced lighting but noted balcony area in upper floor in bar. Check out good and friendly woman on reception. Would recommend."

"The stay at Lace Market was fine, but unremarkable. The room was clean but a bit tired and though exceptionally hot due to the weather, the aircon wasn't the best and windows couldn't be opened more than a crack. So yeah. Fine, but unremarkable"
