"It was a lovely room in a converted barn which had 7 rooms I think. We had booked the most basic room but the bed was comfy, it was clean, it had a lovely bathroom, there was a TV with apps connected to their internet which worked well without any lagging (which happens often at hotels!) Breakfast was nice, a do it yourself continental with everything you could need. We had a meal in the pub and I have to say it was the best food we have had in a long time, the chef was on point and everything was delicious. The staff were short staffed so were running around a lot but were very attentive and great at their job as the place seemed to be running like clockwork! I would recommend staying here but make sure you have a meal as you would be missing out! "

"Great Hotel, you get an enormous sense of history from the moment you walk in. The service was great and the staff were attentive and cordial. My room was number 10 which was at the top. very big and specious with great views of the town and country side. Food & drink were fine with a great carvery on the Wednesday, which I really recommend"
