The place is an amazing oasis... so quiet, beautiful scenery and great hosts. I couldnt wait to scramble outside to see the northern lights each night. Amazing place.

Hidden gem · Northern Lights · Amazing hosts · Cozy atmosphere · Great value · Lake location · Finnish kotta · Authentic experience This place is a true hidden gem. The price is easily worth double, if not triple, what you pay. The owners are fantastic: warm, engaged, incredibly friendly, and always happy to help. They also offer a shared dinner every evening, which is a wonderful experience with all the guests, along with various activities that make your stay even more special. One of the highlights is their traditional Finnish kotta, a small hut with a fireplace in the center. It’s incredibly cozy. One evening, they organized an event there where we cooked food together, had an amazing time, and even saw the Northern Lights. Another night, we witnessed the most spectacular Northern Lights imaginable: the entire sky glowing bright green, with rays dancing across the sky and shifting from green to purple. Absolutely unforgettable. The location is perfect, slightly outside the city and right by a lake, which creates ideal conditions for seeing the Northern Lights. Honestly, there’s no need to book an expensive Northern Lights tour. Just stay here, and on clear nights, you’re almost guaranteed to see them. Highly recommended. It will be a highlight of your trip!

Der Aufenthalt fühlte sich an wie ein Besuch bei Freunden herzlich, persönlich und rundum angenehm. Man ist sofort angekommen und fühlt sich bestens aufgehoben. Die Zimmer sind individuell gestaltet und sehr sauber. Das Essen wird mit viel Liebe zubereitet, alles ist frisch und hausgemacht. Besonders hervorzuheben ist Kerstin, die mit ihren wertvollen Tipps und ihrer hervorragenden Vernetzung den Aufenthalt noch einmal deutlich bereichert hat. Insgesamt hat das die Reise perfekt abgerundet.
