"Riff is a serene bubble in Sri Lanka. Beautifully designed, well maintained, with very good restaurants (that appeal to western travelers if they prefer non Sri Lankan food), the staff is friendly and supportive. I highly recommend the spa that is part of a small network of balinese facilities in Sri Lanka. The pool and beach integration is very good with miles of walkable sand in each direction. The sea itself in March was pretty dangerous so I focused on the very nice pool. I highly recommend Riff."

"The was as advertised, however the restaurant and menu certainly were not 5 star. I complained to the manager regarding the lack of wine available with meals and lack of choice. This was escalated to the chairman. After much to and fro it was agreed I would receive a refund of two nights as we left early due to lack of choice and general incompetence. This refund was promised within 15 days on my payment card. Needless to say no refund and no reply to my enquiry. Their email system was also hacked. Not impressed and would not recommend. Very disappointed and not 4 star "

"The Dutch Bungalow was our most favourite stay in Sri Lanka. It’s a beautiful heritage small boutique hotel in a quiet setting away from the hustle and bustle. The room was large and tastefully decorated. The staff were really lovely and helpful. "

"Rooms were very clean and very roomy. Pool was lovely but cool built on shaded side of buildings. Little further out than I thought. Restaurant was handy and okay for food or drinks."

"The views , the setting and staff were excellent. What let the hotel down was attention to detail- our room had a cracked glass balcony which did not instil confidence. The lack of reliable hot water a was another poor aspect as was the indifferent housekeeping which we had to constantly talk to housekeeping manager about. The lack of response from the front desk and management until 11pm on night before departure with an alternate room was too little too late. To cap this on the last night key decided to fit out new rooms with drilling and cutting boards after midnight which again we had to call to complain sorry but this is not a 5 star quality hotel and the lack of empathy and professions by management as nd Radisson is extremely poor!"

"What a beautiful gem of a boutique hotel nestled on a hill surrounded by nature. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and spacious. It was tastefully designed and filled with personal touches such as books and beautiful photographs. The restaurant called The Dutch is superb. The daily breakfast menu was our favourite breakfast on this trip to Sri Lanka. The entire property is exceptional. We can’t wait to return. "

"Everything was great! The only thing I didn't love was the internet connection. It looks like they use 4G cellular modems with data limits instead of a cable or fiber network. I occasionally had to hold Teams meetings for work, and the connection would drop and never get back. However, this seems to be a common issue across Sri Lanka, not just at this hotel. Aside from that, everything else was absolutely perfect, especially the staff and the location!"
