"Extremely disappointing toiletries and housekeeping standards. On the first day, there were cheap local white toothbrushes in the room, something I would expect even in an OYO hotel. On the second day, there was not a single toiletry item in the bathroom. When I called the lobby manager, the only response was a simple “sorry.”
At no point did it feel like I was staying at a Taj property. Very poor experience and far below the standards expected from the brand."
ITC Mughal, A Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Agra
2/10 Terrible
"Ended up bad experience here because of the kaya kalp spa which spoiled my 25th birthday.
Kaya kalp spa recommended me himalayan mud treatment for my birthday day & it ended up staining my body on my birthday when I asked for brightening. Body color was darker than face. Even therapists hands were stained. They used faulty product on me in my 25th birthday.
I had bathed 6 times, still stains. No warning. No patch tests.
25th is a milestone in life, I wanted to celebrate relaxing staycation and dinner with family at night. They didn't charge 6k but what's point after they have ruined my body already.
Response to this was to celebrate it free with cake, snacks, live music etc, but what is the point after my 25th milestone experience was ruined already. My dress was off shoulder and short, could see mud stains on my shoulders and legs. Celebrations just felt forced, I only agreed to it because of my parents.
Worst decision was to come to agra to spend 25th here at ITC Mughal as overall my experience and reason for stay was spoiled. 25th meant a lot to me and their spa ruined the day. I had spent 32k on rooms itself, leave out food expenses.
Overall property is good, restaurants are great, food is delicious, rooms are beautiful. I had brought pet rabbit and she was accommodated v well. It's a really good 5 star hotel. Pools are great, jacuzzi and steam baths are good.
Issue is not property exp but their spa that ruined my day. The reason for my stay was wasted."
"Hotel was clean, food selection was limited. Room was nice. Staff very helpful and friendly throughout. We had issues with our flight being cancelled and had to stay another night. Very understanding and helpful during this very stressful time. Really very thankful to the staff. If you are planning to go to the Taj Mahal this is the perfect hotel for you. Very close. You can even see it from the roof."
"I enjoyed my stay here and for the price it offered all that you need for a great stay. It was very clean and had lots of amenities, the bed was comfortable and the space was great, it's location was also decent as only about a 20 minute drive to the Taj Mahal.
I only stayed at this hotel for one night due to visiting the Taj Mahal so it was perfect for me. They also offered a Taj Mahal tour, although I had already booked my tour, this would have been great if I hadn't already.
The kitchen staff, waitor/tresses, bus Men and security were all very kind, Great customer service from them however I
Personally think some of the check in staff could've been more friendly as they didn't smile.
When checking out the person at the front desk hardly acknowledged me, even after everything was complete and I said thank you to him, he didn't respond. The hotel it's self was good but some of the front desk check in people at the entrance of the restaurant and the main reception, made me feel unwelcome.
Overall I give it a 3/5 because of the check in people at the front desk. If not I would have given it a 5/5"
