"The location was perfect. The rooms were clean and relaxing. We did multiple hikes around the property and loved it. The food was great and the staff were very helpful. We especially enjoyed Zach at the bar and his food recommendations."

"The walls are thin. You can hear other rooms Bed mattress was hard. Hotel in great location. Breakfast is acceptable. "

"The first room we were assigned did not have a working AC so it was about 100 degrees when we arrived, also the smoke detector had a low battery and was beeping frequently. It was about 15 feet up on the wall. The property did eventually put us in a different room but it took 4 hours for the room to cool down to a reasonable temperature. We were given some scraps for towels and half a roll of toilet paper (family of 5). The kitchen functioned but it was not equipped as expected. We were asked to clean but were given no supplies or dish towels. The whole place was not DIRTY with dust or bugs or anything disgusting but it was generally unkempt and uncared for. Once I compared it to a rustic camping experience and we were able to cool off from the extreme heat- we could make the best of it. "

"Staff was friendly, rooms were clean and well maintained, TV was new and modern. The continental breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever been offered and my kids loved it. The pool was clean and kiddos had a blast swimming."

"Scenery was gorgeous. The place could really use an update and a little better cleaning. We unfortunately had to leave a day early because snow was coming and could not get a refund because we booked on Expedia."

"We were disappointed in the Trails Motel. I was reminded of motels that my family stopped at in the 50's and 60's; while some of the features in the room had been updated there wasn't much change. If we find ourselves in Lone Pine again, we would definitely be looking for somewhere else to stay."

"The Staff Person was very helpful and gave helpful suggestions to make our stay enjoyable. To help your guests, have enough towels and coffee for all assigned to room. Have Maintenance Staff pull beds out to clean under head of bed and the a/c unit. Overall, we would stay here again. Thank you for adding to our traveling experience."

"The sliding door for the patio did not lock. It would appear to lock, but a slightly firm pull would open it right up. No curtains on the windows for privacy. Just wooden blinds you could easily see through. The sauna was operational, but the buttons were all worn down and there were no instructions on how to operate it. We got in later after a long day of traveling and weren't in the mood to bring anything up. The view itself and the location were great!"
