It was only an overnight stay as we were attending a wedding in Langtons Hotel up the road. The Hotel itself was also hosting a wedding that evening so it was very busy, but despite this the service was efficient and friendly, and breakfast teh next morning was excellent. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to stay in Kilkenny

Amazing!! Can't wait to stay again!

Myself and my boyfriend wanted to get away somewhere before the summer ended and I had had been in Kilkenny in July and passed the river court hotel several times and heard it was lovely so I booked it and got it for a good price. The hotel was fabulous, very clean and the staff were so amazing. They were so welcoming. We got bed and breakfast and the breakfasts were amazing!! The staff, again so lovely. You're so close to everything so you don't have to worry about taxi costs. Also the view of the castle during the day but especially at night is beautiful. It's a real bonus to sit out and have a lovely view of the castle and river with the ducks. Best hotel stay in a long time!!!

Very nice hotel in great location

The hotel has a great location with a lovely view across the river to the castle. It is quiet at night even though it's located near all the great pubs. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has been very well-maintained, has an excellent breakfast, and is perfectly situated to enjoy all that Kilkenny has to offer.

The staff were very helpful and welcome throughout my two night stay at the river court hotel, the first night we dined in the restaurant and had a lovely meal. We then went into the bar which had little atmosphere, (it may of been the time in which we stayed) but there was no music just two huge televisions with RTE on, the price of beverages were shocking but I understand that can't be helped, even a bit of background music would of made a huge difference. I didn't enjoy my second night as much, as we had bar food and I wasn't fond of my meal, the atmosphere in the bar was again terrible and the staff looked incredibly bored. As for the receptionist and the breakfast/restaurant staff they were very warm and welcoming.

Very noisey location. We were kept awake by the bars in the town that were close to it as well as the hotel itself. We also ended up having to park quite far away which was a pain given all the stuff we had with us. The hotel itself is fairly dated
