"All staff were super friendly, and welcoming. They were keen to help us settle in, and then to offer suggestions on places to visit and how to get there. Our room was bright and had a beautiful view over the bowling greens. It was the perfect way to begin our UK holiday ... relaxing and low-key. Thank you all."

"Hotel is immaculate and rooms are spotless. Room was amazing we couldn’t fault it but we didn’t sleep too well due to the heat of the room. We couldn’t figure out how to turn the heating down as some radiators had knobs to change this some didn’t, it was like a sauna so we didn’t sleep very well. Food was ok it was very overpriced for what it was. I got prawns to start and it had 3 prawns in it and they were not the biggest either which was 11/12 pound. For main I got scallops that were Lovely but wasn't the most filling, they came with chips but staff forgot to give us the chips until we finished. 27 pound for a small plate with some scallops very overpriced but they where nice just not the most filling plate for a main. Frozen Strawberry daiquiris were amazing highly recommend. Bar area felt more like a cafe didn’t really have much atmosphere but that’s just a personal observation. All staff from the restaurant to the bar to the reception desk and spa where all so friendly and welcoming. Spa itself is amazing loved every minute of it. We got a bite to eat in spa lounge food was nice but I ordered a glass of water and a coke and it didn’t come until I finished my meal 15 minutes later. Was a little disappointed you could use blue light card for main restaurant but not the spa lounge even though it’s the same food and coming from the same place just in a different room. Overall the hotel itself was great and spa was amazing."

"Hotel did not live up my expectations. It seems they have updated some things however cheaply. Ensuite bathroom was redone, broken drain and no toilet tissue holder. The overall smell of fragrance is overwhelming and carpet looks molded. Service was curt at check-in. Was told breakfast til 10:00, went down at 9:20 and then told it ended at 9:00. Told them of mix up and was not offered even a cup of coffee. Very disappointing."

"Lovely clean dog friendly room. Would benefit from some details on the resort ie dog walks or local attractions. The hotel is remote, we had planned to get there by the ferry but this was not running and had to drive, not the best roads as not a single track fan. We would stay again "
