"Great room, great location. Only problem is it has very thin walls… we could hear everything for both sides… toilet flushing, walking, talking… other than that good size room, great room, great staff "
"Amazing hotel/resort. Awesome location. Rooms were nice sized. Only thing to complain about is why don’t places have fans in their bathrooms anymore. "
"This was, unfortunately, one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever experienced.
On our first night, the fire alarms went off around midnight and continued for nearly an hour. Not once did we receive any communication or even a basic apology from the hotel, which was extremely disappointing.
There were also several maintenance issues in our room. The shower and sink drains were clogged, causing water to drain very slowly. While the property is currently under construction, the condition of the wall in our room was poor and clearly unfinished.
Getting to and from the room was also inconvenient, requiring multiple elevator transfers. If you happen to forget something in your room after reaching the parking lot, it’s honestly quicker to just buy it elsewhere than make the trip back.
To make matters worse, the battery in our room’s door lock died, leaving us waiting outside for quite some time until staff could come and fix it.
While it’s clear the resort is attempting improvements through ongoing construction, the issues we encountered were unrelated and should not have happened regardless. Additionally, the location is quite secluded, meaning longer drives to reach most attractions around the island.
Overall, I would not recommend staying here. For a similar price point, you’re better off choosing a hotel with fewer issues and a more convenient location."
" Beautiful property. Great welcoming staff. Complimentary bike use and great location. Really enjoyed our stay. Slight musty smell in room when first using air conditioning but a great stay especially based on the price. "
"Kauai Inn was everything i could hope for in a property. Although the room was somewhat dated, it was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and personable, always happy to stop what they were doing to help with things, give ideas, or just chat. The view from my back patio was a spectacular one of the mountains. Ienjoyes all the beautiful plants and flowers, along with the roosters, chicks, hens, peacocks and cats that shared our outdoor spaces. They had beach towels, snorkeling equipment, and chairs to share. The breakfat in the morning was very tasty and relaxing. Loved the music nights and the movie on the lawn!I would return here in a heartbeat, i hated to leave! Mahalo Phillip, Chris and all your staff for a most wonderful time!"
"Stay was lovely. Room was clean and staff made us feel welcomed from the beginning. The resort is small, but it is right on the beach which is great for morning walks or bike rides. You can check out bikes from the hotel that is included in the resort amenities. The pool is heated at night and the hot tub is very relaxing with the ocean breeze and the sounds of the waves. We would definitely be returning. "
"The ISO is amazing to stay at while visiting Kauai. Fresh fruit and snacks daily, the ocean views, pool fun and close to shops. The staff is incredible. The best was being able to watch the whales from our room. Second year in a row for us and can't wait to return. "
