"We loved our stay here. The staff are welcoming, thoughtful and happy to help. Room was clean comfortable with a lovely balcony and drying rack. The pool area is where we spend most of our time. The pool is perfect for cooling off and where you can watch mountain goats climb the cliffs, and where cretan vultures soar. "

"This is such a brilliant hotel for young families. It’s a really beautiful place with some lovely restaurants, bars & some cute additions like the gelateria & the little on-site kafenio. The staff are brilliant with kids and they’ve thought of everything you need. Malia isn’t the prettiest area, but parts of the Old Town are charming with some lovely, great value restaurants. My only criticism of this hotel how expensive the restaurant are. We chose not to go half board or all-included but I wish we had – I think it would’ve been much better value overall!"

"I enjoyed the breakfast. The pool needs better control as people would put personal belongings on sun beds to reserve them and there was never an available for me to try."

"Staff were very friendly and accommodating. They were able to sort out any issue or answer any question. Rooms were spotless. So was the rest of the hotel, it was very nice to relax. There is only one proper restaurant. Food was okay/nice but limited. There was always an option that was nice though, usually the freshly grilled chicken or pork. Themed food nights certain days of the week were a nice change of pace. The hotel itself was mainly populated with families which was fine, but if you want to relax around a pool then the one at the top of the complex is the only one that was peaceful. The salt water pools were very nice and refreshing! The drink options and snack options were good throughout the day! The bar at the beach is paid and so are the sun loungers, about 35 euros for 2 sun loungers. There are areas of the beach you can lay some towels for free under umbrellas. Overall had a nice relaxing time even if a bit limited. Would come back here if i was coming with young children otherwise would recommend elsewhere for couples"

"Amazing, luxury hotel with amazing views surrounding the whole hotel. We went towards the end of September so it was quieter and the weather was still great. Food at all the restaurants, including the breakfast and dinner buffet was amazing, some of the best we’ve had whilst away. Food at the restaurants can take a while to come, but it is because the food is freshly made and you can taste the difference. The only downside and why I gave 4 star instead of 5 star is because of the lack of accessible free drinking water on the hotel. To me this is a basic human need especially whilst in the sun and should not be used to make money. On the hotel site it’s self you can drink small bottles of water in mini bar which are €3.50 each, or in the hotel shop there were only a few small bottles for €0.90. Please just make it easier for people to drink water. We walked to the supermarket a 5 minute walk away every day to buy big bottles of water. We stayed in the luxury private pool seafront room which was incredible, waking up everyday to sit on our terrace with views of the beautiful beach and have our own pool overlooking it was very special. The beach was lovely, there is a small bit right in front of our room near the Elemis restaurant that is sandy and you can swim in. "

"The hotel grounds are stunning, the roof top bar area and area around the pool is so nice couldn't fault it. The staff are lovely. Our room seemed to be in an older block so we felt it was really dated but for the price we paid we couldn't complain"
