"I am a solo female traveller. Zanzibar House is an excellent property in so many ways. The staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are a delight to be in, with lots of comfortable places to sit and read or contemplate the beauty of the area. I did not use the pool and I am sure it would be lovely. At night time I had an evening meal which was tasty and they accommodated my dietary requirements very well. I am gluten intolerant. I recommend this hotel if you like quiet and beauty filled...

"Amazing property. Secluded, with incredible views. With only 17 bungalows, if you want privacy and tranquility this is your place. The food is delicious, the staff accommodating (the dining staff extended lunch time by an hour just to accommodate us). Eclectically cool decor. Affordable luxury... highly recommend"

"Property is nice, but the area is not the best in Zanzibar. Beach is right where a working fishing village is located. Not very private at all! Property is nice, grounds are ok. Overall upkeep of the property is below expectations. We switched villas and the second one was better, but not in pristine condition. Villa layout is awkward.
