I love the front desk people they were good kids except one who told me we already know you have too much money. I've been raised poor the youngest of eight from a single mother that's a slap in the face the other kids who were your front desk people. I would do it again there was nothing exceptional except for the friendly staff decent breakfast

A Safe Place to Stay for Solo Travelers

The hotel is in busy Thamel, but it’s located in a quiet area. Jeshon and his staff were very friendly and attentive. They have options for breakfast. My room was big and has complete amenities and shower had hot water and strong water pressure. Jeshon prepared my tour for a hike and accompanied me to the airline office to change my ticket. They made me feel at home. I won’t look for another hotel if I ever come back to Kathmandu.

The staff here were helpful enough and deserve high credit. However, the room is now very tired when compared with the photo posted on Expedia and I don't know what detergents they use but it made the room smell like a public toilet. Quite off-putting. The breakfast was hit a miss too, one day good the next overcooked. The worst aspect of this hotel, while beyond their control, are some very noisy neighbours who chat at shouting level every night into the early hours. It's a budget hotel for young backpackers at best.

Satkar Boutique Home is a perfect place to stay for your time in KTM. It’s close to all the shopping and restaurants and things to do and see. It’s on a quiet street just over from the main one. The staff are all wonderful and super helpful. Jeshon was fabulous the whole time. He spent two days taking me to all the sites and then sent a list of recommendations for Pokhara. The rooms were big and spacious. Clean too. I highly recommend staying here
