der absolute Pluspunkt des Hotel Arts in Kathmandu ist die Lage, mitten im Leben die Zimmer sind ok, oberflächlich sauber der Balkon ist eine Zumutung , da sie die Taubenplage nicht in den Griff kriegen,total versifft, dazu der Lärm der Ratten der Lüfte der Service war ok leider sind meine Postkarten, abgegeben an der Rezeption , nicht angekommen

Staff and especially mgt needs to try harder. To get room cleaned: at least 2 requests Breakfast: usually a disaster. Not enough staff to keep the buffet supplied and in attractive appearance. No manager around to notice what needs attention. Just not on top of it. Usual dreary selection of stale backed goods. )Fruit was very good)

Keep coming back to this hotel

Good hotel in the heart of Thamel, if that's where you want to be. The best thing in this hotel are the great views, both from most of the rooms as well as from the rooftop, as this is about the highest building in the vicinity. Another great thing is the friendly staff. I regularly stay at the hotel, as I have found it to be the best in this price range at the moment. However, if you go for breakfast in the later hours of the morning, the items on offer are not fresh anymore, plates are finished, so the hotel should improve on this matter. Good to note also that nowadays taxis are not allowed to drive on the streets leading up to the hotel, so if you can't walk here with luggage, you must take a rickshaw or try to get an official car fromt the hotel to pick you up etc.

We stayed only for one night. It is convenient for shopping and meals. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly. But it was better if there was a hairdryer and a minibar.

We had a basic standard room.

This is a nice hotel in the middle of the shops, restaurants and bars of Thamel. We booked a less expensive standard room since we were only here for one night. The room is small and basic. While the hotels.com picture suggests that we would have a shower door separating the shower from the rest of the bathroom, we did not. So we had the typical "get everything wet" shower that seems to be standard for hotels in nepal. But the hot water seemed to be available at all times of the day so that was a bonus. The room description also suggested our room would have a mini-bar/fridge but our room did not have one.

Noisy but convenient

I'd been warned about the noise from nearby live music venues, and was prepared for that, but what I hadn't expected was so much noise from within the hotel. The full height atrium delivers every sound to every room in the hotel!! Upon check-in I had people up and down to my room for the first couple of hours, unlocking my safe and supplying an adaptor for the supplied kettle (the plug did not fit one single socket in the room). Then there was the matter of having to have my keycard constantly re-set, as almost every time I left the room, I was unable to re-enter with the card. Location is key - if you can put up with the noise and the nuisances, this hotel would be a good choice solely for location. Friendly staff, nice furnishings, great art, and I also like the fact that I could come and go without passing Reception, which is located on 2nd floor.

The hotel was nice and clean and perfectly in the center of the most happening place in Thamel area. The staff were courteous and attentive to your requirements. I was given a room earlier, which i didn't like much due to window size and i asked to change. My request was immediately heard and they changed the room with better requirement. The breakfast was average. The overall experience was good and i'd be back again to this hotel.
