This was by far the best experience I’ve ever had with any hotel! My family was so excited to plan our return trip back and we will stay at the same place!!!! Superior customer service!
Very nicely decorated place with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Staff was really helpful always. And it's right in the middle of Thamel, everything within reach.
Excellent location, spacious room, lots of choices for a very good breakfast. Best feature was the service from airport transport, expedited laundry, and early packed breakfast. Highly recommend.
Very clean property in the middle of Thamel. Great amenities. Staff were very professional and service was great. Binod from the hotel was very helpful and ready to assist in any questions we had.
Cozy and quiet hotel located in a busy area.
The staff show a warm welcome and being very helpful and friendly all the time, and feeling safe staying in the hotel.
the restaurant/ bar have a pretty chill vibe and service is great!
They do good breakfast and coffee.
Wonderful stay. Wonderful hotel. I did have to climb a fair number of stairs to reach my room - as it was an eco friendly hotel. But it was a marvelous experience and the hotel staff went out of their way to help out
This hotel is a very charming, boutique hotel, very clean. Close to busy Thamel. if you want some quiet, 15-20 min. walkable to the garden of dreams, take a rickshaw to the Durbar, etc. Very convenient, lots of options to eat, the restaurant in this hotel is wonderful!
We stayed at this hotel in November 2025 - myself, my father, and my teenaged son. Our entire stay was fantastic - the staff were lovely, accommodating, and helpful. The rooms were spacious and very well appointed, with comfortable beds, large bathrooms with lovely showers, plenty of storage, and more than enough space. The courtyard was a must after a day of navigating the streets of Kathmandu - a really beautiful and peaceful space to unwind. The hotel decor was fantastic, with lots of local art all over.
On the whole, I cannot say enough good things about this hotel - we loved it, and would absolutely stay here again if we return. We felt very well taken care of here.
One caveat - there are no elevators, so if you have a room on a higher floor be prepared for a lot of stairs (at least it preps you for trekking!).
Excellent hotel in Thamel. (My only complaint was there is no elevator.) Great staff, and breakfast room service was fast and hot. Laundry service same day. Right next to a busy Thamel street but a quiet retreat from the chaos around. I would definitely stay here again. 😁👍
This is the perfect hotel for first time visitors to Kathmandu or anyone wanting to stay in Thamel. The city/neighborhood can feel very chaotic at times, and Dalai-La is such a wonderful escape. The courtyard is a perfect place to start the day with the hotel’s amazing breakfast options. The rooms are spacious with modern fixtures. We were given two large bottles of water in the room a day. The staff is simply wonderful! Binod specifically was very friendly and amazingly helpful. He gave us a number recommendations for things to do in and around Kathmandu as well as our next stay in Pokhara. He was also very helpful with the currency exchange. The location of the hotel is perfectly situated in Thamel to allow you to walk to numerous shops and restaurants. I would absolutely stay here again. My dad and I had a wonderful time!
