"My stay at the Comfort Suites Fairview Heights–St. Louis was horrible. The hotel is extremely outdated, poorly maintained, and smells terrible the moment you walk inside. The online photos are misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the property. The carpets, walls, furniture, and elevator all looked worn down and dirty. The indoor pool looked unclean, and I was locked out of my room twice because my key card stopped working. The worst part? I was bitten by what appeared to be bed bugs. When I reported it, the front desk acted unconcerned and the manager promised reimbursement that I never received. Afterward, they stopped responding completely."

"Maybe it was just a rough weekend for staff, I used to work for Hyatt regency as a senior captain for banquets so I’m very familiar with how Hyatt is ran. There were only a few staff members that were helpful, professional and respectful and that happen to be the gentleman that checked me in, valet staff were sweet, 2 ladies that checked me out and the sweet woman that took my order at Starbucks. Additionally there were 3 individuals that were absolutely rude when my guest stepped outside and did not have her key card, the gentleman that refused to help her was very rude to her when she tried buzzing the button to get help. The security guard additionally was very rude when monitoring floors. Left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. I’ve always held Hyatt to the highest standards but those specific interactions was a little sour. Hotel was very clean though!"

"The rooms were clean but outdated and in need of repair or upkeep. The breakfast consisted of one waffle maker white bread for toast instant oatmeal packs and stale cereal. We have stayed here multiple times over the last 4 years while visiting our daughter in college and it has gone downhill since. "

"Check in took a very long time. Staff seemed confused and struggled with the computer. Upon check out, I realized that I left some clothes hanging in the closet in the room. I messaged the hotel. No response. I called the hotel, he took my info and said he'd call back. That was five days ago-no response. For me the mattress and pillows can make or break a hotel experience, and although this hotel was about average in most ways, the bed was truly the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. I would definitely not stay here again. "
