Great place near Chobe
Excellent lodging for visiting the Kasane area and doing Chobe Park activities. Location is a little outside of the main town area, but right next to a supermarket & Nando's restaurant. Lovely outdoor space with our room, which even had a small kitchen. Good breakfast, which we partook of before our activities.
Everyone on staff was very nice and tried to be helpful, with a special shoutout to maintenance worker Gary - my buddy who helped us out with several things! However, there were a few things that needed work while we were there for just a few nights, and ideally these would've been tended to between guests. The AC was broken, so we spent the first night without AC, though Gary did his best to fix it quickly for us ASAP and we did sleep better our 2nd night. The toilet seat was quite loose, and the sink/toilet hadn't been cleaned when we first arrived but the receptionist jumped in to do it instead, though i did offer to do it myself if she had cleaning products. There was some confusion about prices, probably because the receptionist was new. It turned out we were correct but she'd tried to charge us double, based on another invoice she was looking at. Completely unintentional, but I felt like a jerk insisting she confirm with the manager. Everyone did their best to fix things quickly, but it would've been nice to not have to make all these requests. I'm still giving 5 stars overall because it's a great place, but needs regular maintenance checks between guests.
