Nice resort on a distant location

The resort itself is comfortable, nice, quiet and relaxing. However, I found it on google maps to be located near the beach at the moment of booking. But after arrival I realized it is 5 km away (it was found at two places with the same name and the same addressess on the map somehow). When rising this issue at the reception, the staff were unpolight and unhelpful. They just kept me waiting for several times, forgetting about me and asking me name and booking number over and over again. Their english is poor. The resort is located near the highway, with the closest store being 1 km away without pedestrian walkway. Transport to the closest beach (10 min ride) will cost you about 500 thb. Free one-directional transport from the resort is provided, but not very useful as it is only twice per day / 3 predefined destinations, and the drive is carried in open lorry. I got my back scratched on the metal on my very first ride. The breakfast was almost the same every day, and without many choices.

Paid <2100฿/day no breakfast .. short words with no spelling controll.... the stay was god but not great Its a 10 years old luxery*****star resort , but the feeling says that the owner is now days not investing money on site. If the hotel would for example offer motorbikes , free shuttle TO Chalong/kata (and just tip driver) better restaurant with wiew and like repainting, fixing som smaller things it will be worth >2000฿ and be rated a strong ****star resort..
